it is so annoying how that it makes me so that im not scoping when i get shot
I find the aim pretty weird i used to play a lot of swat on previous halos and a good aim was essential for that and i used to be pretty good at it but now although, im pretty sure i haven’t got any worse i think its 10x as difficult to play well in games I don’t even manage to get at least one killing spree per game any more.
To me it kind of felt like the aiming from the older game Rage, from the 360. I beat the hell out of that game and aiming did not bother me.

Yeah it’s a shame too, I don’t see why people can’t just adapt to the aiming. I’ve played Halo since CE, played CE, 2, 3, ODST, Reach, and 4. I didn’t like 4 at all because of the unbalanced multiplayer, but I have been playing Halo 5 since release and, even after a good 400 hours of MCC play behind me, I haven’t noticed this H5 aiming thing anyone is talking about. The reticle feels smaller and the 60FPS makes the aiming feel smoother, but besides that I can’t see what’s wrong with it, I adapted to it pretty quickly.
Learn how to hipfire. Problem solved.
The aiming needs a fixing.
To anyone saying this is simply a “change” and we need to get used to it thats bs. Thrusters, sprint, smart link, ground pound, spartan charge were all actual game changes that we needed to get used to, the games aiming though? This simply is not something we should get used to
I haven’t had a single problem with the aiming and I hardly played the beta maybe ya’ll just aren’t as good at aiming as you thought.

> I keep hoping this is just a bad dream and that I’ll wake up from it, but it’s real. The aiming is garbage. I still have not gotten used to it. It’s just awful. I know I don’t need to go into detail about how bad these aiming mechanics are, because so many other people have expressed what’s wrong, but it’s nothing like any Halo before it. Why change what was NEVER wrong with Halo? Every game in MCC feels amazing, as far as aiming is concerned. Going back and forth between different Halo games on there is effortless and I’m always confident that my shot will be on. This game is just wonky as hell. I can’t even begin to express my disappointment with the aiming mechanics. I really hope they listen to us and make this game feel like EVERY game before it. And not just a little deadzone tweaking or accel tweaking…it needs a 100% revert back to how we all know Halo is supposed to feel. It’s just not a fun game. I gave it a legitimate chance after 23 hours of play, but it’s still bad. There’s just no getting used to the aiming in this game. So much potential…damn…
dude, its only a minor glitch 343 will fix it no need for a paragraph because of a stupid bug. I see what you are saying and you are pissed off about that but just give 343 time to fix it.
I guess I’ve not noticed this slow moving reticle problem but I did recently decide to turn my sensitivity up to 8 (A drastic change from my normal incredibly low sensitivity), The game did feel slightly different at first but not anymore.
Just read this on reddit.
People who have aiming problem in this game and people who don’t understand why they are complaining should read this.

they need to stop aiming a lot. it not call of duty

To me it felt like it had a Call of Duty feel too the aiming, but I learn too adapt just like us and tech. So I would agree with Teddy Roosebear.
I have felt odd about the aiming as well, but I don’t think its THAT bad… It does feel different kind of in the middle with my feelings about it lol. I think they have a lot of things that they are going to do though so I wouldn’t worry.

I’ve been getting a fair few on swat.
weird…I hadn’t really noticed much of a difference…of course I suck at pvp so maybe that’s why
Yeah, I don’t like the aiming. It feels like the reticule doesn’t want to move when I’m trying to make small adjustments by putting the reticule on someone’s body when I’m in a battle close to mid range. If I move my sensitivity up to adjust, it causes my aim to be worse since it’s too fast. I didn’t have these problems on previous Halos with my controllers and current one so I know it’s not that slow turn issue that Josh Holmes tweeted.

> It’s not about the lack of aim assist. We’re all grateful for that. It has to do more with the amount of aim acceleration. If you played the beta, I’m sure you can agree the aiming felt much more fluid. Now though, I feel like I’m fighting with my controller in order to aim properly.
I do agree. It’s kind of funny playing on sensitivity 9 and it still feels too slow, compared to MCC where I capped out at 6 or 7 which felt perfect. When I bump it up to 10, it’s way too fast. It’s kind of confusing.
It is really good. It makes the game more skill based aim
I reckon 343 should post a video or something with one of the pros explaining and demonstrating how the new aiming mechanics are intended to be used (the left stick strafe method).
I do think it’s going to make things very unfriendly to newcomers so they should probably change it back.
