Well my friends, I'm done with this game's aiming

I can’t get on with the aiming at all, it’s a nightmare!

I don’t have a problem with the aiming sights

The ADS is great.

The aiming is fine you just don’t have a soul.

Anyone figure a way to turn off the auto aim? Tired of enemies goin across my screen pulling me away from my original target.

If you are fighting someone in CQC and they move quickly to the right or left, you will naturally push your right stick further - this can cause you to enter the ‘turning’ zone and the target reticle will move faster than you are expecting.

> In my opinion, they need to have a single sensitivity for both aiming and turning on the stick, rather than having distinct ‘zones’.

.

I’m just tired of hearing people gripe about the game… If you don’t like the game don’t play it. Quit saying if they don’t fix it by this time I’m going to do this. Just quit playing it. Besides 343i doesn’t care about a few people not liking the aim unless it’s a pretty big majority of the Halo fans. Only then will they consider fixing whatever people want fixed. Also the aim is optional, if you don’t like it… don’t use it. It’s not a must have in order to play the game.

In my opinion, I find aiming to be perfectly fine. Although I have had to adapt to the new style of the game, I think that the aiming is pretty spot on. I have a KD of 2.24 and I have not had any major problems with aiming in game. Even though I haven’t had many problems, I wish you all the best of luck with adapting to the game and it’s new style of gameplay.

I just change my sensitivity to compensate.

I’m currently TERRIBLE at aiming in Halo 5 but I’m not going to moan about it… as the more I play the better I’m gonna get… practice makes perfect and all that. If they turn up Aim Assist (which I hope they don’t) then its not going to be a challenge or a test of skill…

> Seriously people like EmptyVoid95 have gotten to used to the demands of the few being answered over the larger demand. This is outrageous to say that if its not fixed in a week I’m not playing this game anymore in fact its childish as hell. And I have to agree with Lukey Mufz I hope all these spoiled kids are gone soon. They are the thorn in the Halo community. If you don’t like the game then don’t get it, its as simple as that then you don’t have to cry on the forums about every little thing about the game that you think is wrong. The only problem I even have found with the game is spawns and I am just hoping 343 will fix them which of corse they will it is being brought up every where I look.

Are you serious, “if you don’t like it don’t buy it??” The aiming is different from the beta so he was some how just supposed to know it changed? This game has had just about the same feel to the aiming since 2001 and now many longtime halo fans including myself are getting steered away not because of sprint or ads, or thruster, or any other unnecessary mechanic, t’s because of how garbage the aim feels now. If you really care about the Halo community, you’d be concerned about so many long term fans leaving do to this. He’s not some guy who decided to play halo on the 27 of October, 2015 he’s probably been playing since 2001.

knew i wasnt the only one having the aim issue. I feel like Halo 5 fell into the hole that Call Of Duty fell into, in that whoever shoots first will often win regardless of weapon.

For instance coming against someone with an assault rifle, if they shoot first, odds are they will kill you regardless of the loadout weapon you hold and sometimes even REQ weapon. an SMG can outclass the Saw if it shoots first, same goes for SMG v Shotgun at close range, BR v AR at any range, BR v Banshee in some cases, and more frequently im seeing now is ghost vs wraith.

Just play some SWAT you’ll get used to the aiming real fast

I like the way the aiming feels. It definitely feels different from past Halo games, but it doesn’t bother me. I enjoy the challenge of getting the headshot. Just my two cents.

I think the aiming is fine, there are just a few nuances that people should be aware of. I noticed the aiming does randomly shift a little in speed on the lower sensitivities while dragging the crosshair. I recommend turning it up to your comfort zone to alleviate this to a degree. Also I think I’ve noticed after a little over 24 hours of play that where you aim on an enemy determines damage even with non-headshot centric weapons(assault rifle, storm rifle, suppressor). When I’m engaged in the standard assault rifle vs assault rifle duel, I’ll have the crosshair on their neck/ head area and kill him slightly faster than when firing into his chest. Not 100% on this, but I also sometimes feel like I lose an assault rifle duel due to the fact that he was hitting a little higher on my character.

I still dont understand this aiming problem people speak of…

I just chalk it up to I suck at this game. Which is sad because I was good at Halo 4 and straight beast at Halo 3, but I lack the free time to spend on getting better at it. oh well.

It will be nice to get rid of all the unskilled whiny cry babies. Cya, and thank you for making the game suck less by leaving.

> If we all agreed to a fix, for example, perhaps an enable/disable setting for the current function so that everyone is happy, we might actually get some of these issues closed.

That has been an serious issue on Waypoint since Halo 4 released. I mean it happened before then but not to this degree. The community is seeing something wrong or that they’d like changed and before people would discuss it and get behind it, but now if someone sees something negative they take it as a personal insult and hate you with a passion and decide to bury all the criticism (even the stuff that would make positive changes and benefit the community) under piles of ‘Vocal minority, git gud, nostalgia’ posts. These people have actually driven away the positive change members of this community and now claim “majority” to feel validated. They’d rather celebrate MS making 400 Million dollars than support things that the community wants to add to improve the game.

Exactly what I think.
