But halo 5 at launch sucks so bad. Aiming needs to be calibrated and reverted back to how beta had it. And that pistol I manage to shot my target everywhere but at them. Disappointed the aiming and want it fixed too!

IMO all they had to do was turn the assist down though, they didn’t need to come up with this new weird mechanic with the odd deadzones.

Seriously people like EmptyVoid95 have gotten to used to the demands of the few being answered over the larger demand. This is outrageous to say that if its not fixed in a week I’m not playing this game anymore in fact its childish as hell. And I have to agree with Lukey Mufz I hope all these spoiled kids are gone soon. They are the thorn in the Halo community. If you don’t like the game then don’t get it, its as simple as that then you don’t have to cry on the forums about every little thing about the game that you think is wrong. The only problem I even have found with the game is spawns and I am just hoping 343 will fix them which of corse they will it is being brought up every where I look.

Think of it this way: if they added in an option to disable aim assist because competitive players didn’t like it, it would give an advantage to players that used it over players who didn’t, even though people demanded it be added it. Any time you add in a disable completely feature, there is room for an advantage / disadvantage.

I can think of about 10 or 12 similar instances of “settings” that do not provide any kind of an advantage. I dont understand your point, my apologies. IF you are happy with the way it is and like it, then why would you care if there was an option for other people to turn it off so that they can also enjoy the game? Are you afraid you’ll lose the “edge” you currently have without that setting?

There are two ‘zones’ on the right stick: aiming (small tilt) and turning (big tilt). If you are fighting someone in CQC and they move quickly to the right or left, you will naturally push your right stick further - this can cause you to enter the ‘turning’ zone and the target reticle will move faster than you are expecting.
In my opinion, they need to have a single sensitivity for both aiming and turning on the stick, rather than having distinct ‘zones’.
I’ve played a lot of shooting games, some have flawless aiming assist, some have no assistance once so ever which I don’t mind at all, I love the challenge. Since I started playing this I’ve had quite a few dead on shots with the sniper rifle not even hit, which this game did just come out and there hasn’t been many updates like most new releases. With that being said the aiming is 50/50 and then there’s those buggy shots that don’t even register at all. They probably will fix it later, just right now they’re making a list of all bugs/glitches at this time to fix them all at once. So give them time before bashing the game and tossing it aside due to your incompetence and lack of patience. In the mean time see you guys, gals, and you squeakers later. -Konig von Wolfe
I think the aiming is something that needs a little tweaking but overall it’s not that bad. The game is no where near what the older halos where like but like everyone it’s has some really great new machines. Besides the aiming is being over shadowed by the fact that there is no split screen in it.
I think that many people have failed to look at ANY of the links that Blitzkrieg35 has actually posted. Because of this, no one knows WHY the aiming is broken in halo 5, let alone the existence of this problem. Just because the majority of halo 5 players don’t notice it, doesn’t mean that there isn’t a problem: that’s a bandwagon logical fallacy. Please, for the sake of everyone’s sanity in this thread, look at these two links. Both are great links to give you an idea of how much of a flaw 343’s change to halo 5 aim is.

> problem with aiming?? i think you just suck… have no problem with it at all and btw why aim if you can just spartan charge everybody!??
It’s fine if you don’t notice the problem, but telling us that we just suck aiming with a flawed aim system is as ludicrous as you telling us to get better at CoD, a game that allows for no skill whatsoever. Look at my last post above you and please look at the links I posted.

You must be new here.
Do you know why Halo 5 is so successful? Do you know why you like the Multiplayer? Do you know why it’s universally considered the best part of the game?
Because we hated Halo Reach. We hated Halo 4. We weren’t too excited with the Beta (or at least, I wasn’t.) Have anything but improvements occurred after significant outcry from our portion of the community? I’ll let you ponder that next time you find yourself loving the hell out of the game.
Hilariously, if aiming were more like the beta, we wouldn’t be having these threads.
> 2533274875669884;1073:
> problem with aiming?? i think you just suck… have no problem with it at all and btw why aim if you can just spartan charge everybody!??
And there’s a great example of why, we as a community, can’t get anything out of 343 because of people like this.
If we all agreed to a fix, for example, perhaps an enable/disable setting for the current function so that everyone is happy, we might actually get some of these issues closed.
If you enable it, the aiming stays the same as it is today. If you disable it, you get a linear movement mechanic with only basic aim assist.
Now why is that something we can’t all agree to? Instead of insulting each other’s point of view, we need to have a bit more maturity about how we approach these issues.
I honestly enjoy the aiming in this Halo. It seems like they’re more focused on hip fire accuracy and minimizing aiming down sites. I play a lot of CSGO. So once you become better at hip fire shooting then kills become a lot more easier and quicker.

That has always been the case with halo. Hipfire was the best approach to a gunfight due to its accuracy unless you needed to shoot someone far away.
