> Lets get one thing straight here. Just because there are people who dont like the aiming, yourself included, does not mean that the aiming is broken. And I hate to break it to you, but you are in the minority with this one. The people that like the aiming out number those who dont. By a fairly large percentage too. So when you say something like “I hope they listen to us and make it like every halo before it”, just know that you are saying that 343 should cater to the wishes of a small percentage of people who want it changed, and then piss off the larger group who like it how is. Which is bat s*** crazy. I mean get real.

You’re acting like OP is not skilled. Check ya stats you’re getting destroyed anyways. Nice try being a smart -Yoink- though.
BTW over 1000 posts now. Not all complaints, but if this many people have something to say it should definitely be looked into.
The aim is fine you just havent gotten use to it yet. It’s a new halo game and it’s ment to be harder, do you want an easy halo game or a challenging one?
I enjoy the aim. It made halo 5 a fresh experience for me re-learning how to do it. The old aim assist was garbage, now you actually have to have skill to shoot.

Skill to control the broken total non-linear deadzones? No thats not how it is suppose to be.
I like that there is less aim assist but over aiming my targets all the time is annoying
How on earth does anyone support the aim acceleration in this game with it’s deadzones? The aiming in this game is a joke, and I agree with the OP 100%. It’s not a question of being able to adapt. I’m a Champion rating in slayer playlist, and onyx in team arena. Guess what, the aiming still sucks in this game. It sounds more rude than I intend to be, and I say this with respect. If your not good at this game or just shooters on a console in general. Odds are you couldn’t possibly understand the aiming problem, because quite honostly your not good enough at aiming in the first place.
if aim acceleration was intended, why not give us the option to turn it off? Like every shooter before this with aim accel has done before? csgo for an example.
Edit: Stop confusing aim acceleration with aim assist. Less aim assist is good, aim acceleration is bad…
Why are people saying the aiming is to do with aim assist. It ISN’T!
It’s the ridiculous jump in speed between the aim/turn zones on the right thumbstick and the vertical/horizontal acceleration. Bravo has even acknowledged that there is an issue that seems to affect certain controllers. So it may be that YOU don’t have an issue but that doesn’t mean that thousands of others, myself included don’t. The CQC in this game is ruined for me because my reticule jumps wildly when my right thumbstick is moved more than ~70% to the outer edge.
Try it yourself, open up a custom game and try to slowly draw a circle with your reticule. You should be able to draw a perfect circle but after around five turns I’m either looking at the floor or the sky, it’s wildly inconsistent.
And no it isn’t just my controller because I’ve tried it on three different consoles and controllers.
I get 45ms on my computer games but for some reason get 250ms on the Xbox One? I live in Australia but with that kind of wierd lag and the aiming is really un fitting for me.

Sadly like u said… the ones are not good probably don’t even understand the aim acceleration thinking we are complaining about the less aim assist thus defending the current aim lol.

Agreed. This is the problem summarised neatly. People need to understand the complaints are legitimate.

> It’s not about the lack of aim assist. We’re all grateful for that. It has to do more with the amount of aim acceleration. If you played the beta, I’m sure you can agree the aiming felt much more fluid. Now though, I feel like I’m fighting with my controller in order to aim properly.
happy with less aim assist, I’m no pro, but I’ve noticed that, when facing a player and trying to aim for the player or head, the aiming can tend to jump, quite fast.
However if I’m being shot at from behind, it takes me an age to look sideways and turn around, even though when aiming in front of me the responsiveness seems very fast
is this related to the aim acceleration problem?
however I don’t think it’s game breaking, I could up my sensitivity to turn round faster, but I don’t want my normal aiming to be much faster and it’s definitely jumpy/fast enough on sensitivity 4

It’ll likely help with the turning but there are two different speeds for aiming and turning. So you’ll be able to turn better but it’ll throw your aim out.

> I agree the aiming in beta did feel awesome! I was getting ridiculous amounts of perfect kills and perfect head shots most of the time. Overall I was happy that I know I would do my best. But halo 5 at launch sucks so bad. Aiming needs to be calibrated and reverted back to how beta had it. And that pistol I manage to shot my target everywhere but at them. Disappointed the aiming and want it fixed too!
I am starting to believe that with Halo going the esports route, and the comments I’ve seen about the BETA and everything been smooth and people doing ridiculously good… well that’s why it was changed, it was obviously too easy in the beta. they want it skill based. so we have to adjust to the new aim settings they’ve set.
