Well my friends, I'm done with this game's aiming

This game gets worse with every day that goes by. 343 is a total disappointment.

I’m confused why people are saying that aiming has less aim assist IMO it has to MUCH aim assist. At times I feel like I’m actually fighting the aiming system, I’m trying to be careful not to move the stick to much and be precise but IMO it feels like the reticle gets stuck to enemy’s and I have to practically jam the stick left or right for it to move. Granted it’s been awhile since the beta but I remember having no issues with it then.

I dont really mind the aiming tbh

This says it all.

“You can’t spell challenge without Change.”

It’s mostly becasue people that where good in the other games. Are having problems getting the same results now the aiming has changed. For me it isn’t a problem.

Aiming is fine i don’t know you you nerds are crying about. if you get in a magnum duel or a br duel the better player is going to win. thats how skill based game play works this isn’t halo reach or even halo 3 spamming body shots is not gonna stop a 5 shot kill with the magnum you’re gonna die if you’re not a good player. the game was tuned and designed to be like this to reward player skill and tactics not bruteforce and luck everyone is on the same level playing field again and there hasn’t be a skill based game like this on consoles since halo 2 the simple reticle mechanics have evolved to give a more precise aim and if you can’t cope with that. maybe halo isn’t for you in the first place. if you’re sick of getting killed by someone elses magnum then stop screwing up practice at the game, get better and quit crying to 343 on their forums

Why is everyone complaining about it it isn’t bad at all. but every -Yoinking!- people is complaining and you people are getting on my nerves:@

I don’t really see what is wrong as I don’t feel it. Any explanation so I try to notice it?

I just started to get used to the aiming in this game and I’m really starting to enjoy it again. My biggest problem was aiming with the pistol because of the high dead zones and acceleration that would completely throw off my aim if I tried to make the slightest adjustment. Now, I’ve learnt to pace my shots better and try not to move my right thumbstick around too much. But the radar…oh that’s a completely different story…

Broken game? Really? Over aim assistance? Wow.

man I think the aiming isn’t bad to be honest, they actually made the guns more accurate. would’ve been cool if they kept the dual wield pistols but it’s straight. Dang man u did really good. If you change your mind about this game, you should join my team. 4SHOTZ

I like the new aim. Aim assist, while helpful, was annoying at times

a little of lag

All I see is a bunch of people whining and complaining because it is more difficult to get a kill than in previous Halo’s. I find the aim to be far better than it was in MCC. Anytime there’s a major change in anything regarding halo, people either b*tch to get there way (which doesn’t always happen) or they literally give up on a game that’s not even two weeks from release. I’ll be honest in saying I played the -Yoink- out of every halo since H2 and I have to say things have changed since H3 to H5. People keep complaining about the supposed “wonkie” controls and I have to say it is different than in previous Halo’s, but I seem to remember a huge majority of people complaining about the betas aiming system, there was no aim assist in the beta, your bullets literally followed people around corners in the beta, like what the -Yoink-? And people prefer that to the aim system we have now? The only difference I feel in the aiming is that the aim assist is almost non existent but there is enough there to help you stay on target not much though, they took away traveling bullets which is awesome (no undeserved kills). I think people need to get off this high horse that I used to be good at halo and realize that the game is no longer going to hold your hands while you shoot at someone, you have to depend on individual skill.

Ive been with halo since the beginning and it did take a while to get used to the aiming system but I do think it’s okay not great but it’s manageable just takes a while

for me i felt the same about the field of view as you do with the aiming. aiming for me is fine for the most part, the field of view changed though (mostly due to the map sizes and spacing.) it plays like everyone are ants and i cant get over that.

It would be much better if we could choose our weapons and equipment in all game modes

rabble rabble 343 change aiming rabble rabble

but really. It’d be nice to see that they listen to this large portion of the community that has these issues

Man, I wonder what they could have done to solve this!

Maybe something like keeping it the same, without any sort of different acceleration than Halo 4 or ADS? You know, just use the same component if it isn’t broken?

Nah, guess that’d be too crazy.

> All I see is a bunch of people whining and complaining because it is more difficult to get a kill than in previous Halo’s.

I suppose this excuse is the reason why the OP had to post his stats. The overall TTK is the lowest yet…can’t be too hard to get a kill. Probably just isn’t satisfying - like Reach. I was always positive, had the same share of killing sprees as I did in Halo 3, but bloom and the lack of bleedthrough among other things just led it to never feel satisfying, or like I was actually doing well.

Without knowing for sure, I suppose that’s the same thing here. There’s some change to the aiming and you have to adjust to it, just like any other change to the game. Some people will obviously like it, some people won’t, but I do know from experience that those who don’t will probably always be told to “adapt” or pigeon-holed as being terrible even if they aren’t, as though if you’re succeeding you have no reason to complain about anything…

How you guys enjoying “Halo 5” Guardians, by the way? Just watching the clips my friends have made, I’m seeing that a lot less was changed from the beta (ostensibly an alpha) than I had been told - no surprise there. I’m not going to go out of the way to restart my Gamefly subscription for this like Halo 4 (solid game that felt like Halo) so I won’t be playing it unless a Redbox machine nearby stocks it, so I’m just curious. How’s the framerate? The visuals actually strike me as worse than either Halo 4 or Halo 3 on the MCC, somewhere around what Halo 2 Anniversary looked like, so I expect that it at least runs smooth enough, being 343i’s primary focus.

Also, I was surprised to see the T rating. When Dark Souls II was released with a T, I had assumed that it was perhaps the ESRB getting over themselves and coming back down to planet earth, choosing not to put a game like Dark Souls (or Halo) in the same rating category as GTA as that’s complete overkill and it seemed like they just kept handing out an M rating for consistency. Of course when Dark Souls II came out, it came with a severe lack of the blood from the first game and I felt stupid to have hoped the ESRB was just being reasonable…so I don’t want to guess: when you shoot corpses, is there or is there not the feature where blood spews out from them? Kind of disappointing if there isn’t.

I honestly don’t understand why people cant aim in this game.

The only thing that needs to be fixed is the insane bullet magnetism, everything else about the new aiming is fine imo.
