The issues are spelled out crystal clear for you right there and he even did 343i’s job for them and showed them how to fix it.
There are major errors with the aiming mechanics and it’s been proven using software designed specifically to analyze this type of thing. It’s not simply a new system that we should just learn to get used to. It’s a system fundamentally flawed and easily one of the worst aiming systems in modern gaming today.
This is outright embarrassing for 343i and needs to be addressed asap before it pushes players away from H5 and the community.
Check my forum posts, I’ve been all over the forums getting upset about how the aiming has changed. Yes, there are things that should be fixed with regards to the diagonal aiming and adding an option to choose which feel you prefer, but hear me out…
Last night I was watching Snip3down stream and was totally blown away. He said he used 4 sensitivity and regular thumbsticks on his Scuf so I figured I’d give it a shot. I normally use a longer right thumbstick and 7 sensitivity on every other Halo, so I played Warzone with his setup till it got comfortable. It took a few hours, but I’ll be -Yoink!-, it worked.
Most pros play on lower sensitivities, so I’m guessing the aiming mechanic was optimized for that speed. At lower sensitivities, you don’t notice the deceleration in the aim assist as much either.
Should there be an option to adjust it, yes. But, give it a shot and be patient. It feels pretty good once you get the hang of it. That being said, if they DO patch it with an option for a classic feeling aim, then I’ll use it, but for now, we’ve got what we’ve got. Make the best of it.
Sooooooo what’s wrong with the aiming? I haven’t noticed any issues feels the same as it has since halo 3 to me. Ce and 2 always feel different to me for some reason
I agree it is a different feeling and i am not sure i like it all that much, but the game is really fun and i do enjoy it a lot, i hope they fix the aiming, but if not i would be ok with that.
Yeh, the game is different and all, but isn’t that the point? Don’t get me wrong, I LOVED the previous Halo games, but this one is very refreshing. I don’t even notice the bad aiming until it’s a major distance.

> It’s not about the lack of aim assist. We’re all grateful for that. It has to do more with the amount of aim acceleration. If you played the beta, I’m sure you can agree the aiming felt much more fluid. Now though, I feel like I’m fighting with my controller in order to aim properly"
I agree with both of these Statements. I don’t have a problem with the aiming… for the most part… but I do feel though at times I am “fighting” with my controller and it’s very annoying.
