Well my friends, I'm done with this game's aiming

How is 343 supposed to rewrite Halo 5’s entire game mechanics in a day? Don’t rage on 343, their just trying to make their own beginning in the Halo universe, so cut out on the rage.

I like the new aiming system I think it changes halo in a good way

Since i’ve played Destiny a lot, i think the aiming is very similar and exactly what halo needed.

I played the beta and i truly agree.

I really dont find it similar to Destiny’s aiming because depending on which gun you are using depends on how fast it aims.

Yup. I play bf4 a lot and h5 seems similar. The older halos are def different. I’m terrible at them.

That’s kind of like bungie’s patch date.

Aiming in this game would be a whole lot better if it would stop taking you out of ADS’ing when getting shot at. I get it’s a little more realistic that way but it almost seems completely unnecessary to even be added to the game.

Oops wrong comment.

This game plays NOTHING like the beta that everyone loved<<no one came here ‘whining and crying’ that some of you are saying we’re doing now.

> I couldn’t agree more I absolutely loved the beta it played so well outside of what you said the OP grenades and AR was a bit too powerful (tho bullet magnetism was a little too strong as well) but now with the drastic change to aim which I am absolutely horrible at and the radar hurting more than helping, I am just done with the game unless it gets fixed. I really want to love Halo 5, I really do, I want to enjoy playing the game but the aiming is so horribly atrocious it completely throws all fun I could have out the window. Favoring aiming changes for pros or the super competitive, who are the vast minority, is bad for the game and if not change fast (and I mean very fast) say goodbye to Halo 5 population and hello to Halo 4 v2.0 cause this game will die with Black Ops 3 coming in 2 days and Battlefront coming in 13 days.

Exactly. In the beta the 1v1 strafing battles were so fun because if you lost you know that person straight up outplayed you. Not because of your aim or theirs taking a mind of its own lol

I feel it’s going down a more call of duty feel than a halo feel idk could just be me

> well clunky, weird aim acceleration with bad speed increase ratios isnt people being stuck in their ways. Its a design flaw along with the really fucky dead zones. And before you try and argue your ignorant elitist opinion, go examine the footage and other evidence to these problems. They needlessly altered it from the beta and added the extremely wonky aim accel. Im a halo veteran of 14 years, and im very quick to pick up and adapt to new game mechanics, but the aiming… it’s simply bad workmanship. Remove aim accel, fix the dead zones (and spawns on that note), remove ALL bullet magnetism, and bring back the optional slight aim assist for casuals. Im all for advancement and improvement but you dont -Yoink- with a good formula.

I Agree, I’m not doing bad at all, above 1.8 K/D with warzone and 1.388 in arena, so i’ve learned to deal with it. people are saying it’s the aim assist, but I think the acceleration and deadzones are the issue, it simply feels wonky. I can’t find a sensitivity that feels right to me, it either feels too fast at medium to long range from acceleration or too slow at close range from compensating for long range. the aim assist is fine, the bullet magnetism is a good thing to get rid of. the spawns are garbage, especially in swat where spawn killing is rampant. I’ve adapted relatively well, but I feel like i’m fighting the system more than the enemy.

I played the hell out of all Halo games and I think aiming in Halo 5 is easier, if you’re having trouble turn your sensitivity up as it is low when you start the game. If this doesn’t work just quit Halo.

While I see why some people are struggling with aiming, it should NOT be reverted… older halo aiming sucked

A toggle off option for aim acceleration would solve this problem with the player base and less work for 343. Those who like it have it enabled. Those who hate it and want old halo aiming back have it disabled. Boom both parties are happy and makes me a halo veteran want to play halo 5 because I don’t have to deal with it. If I set my sensativity to a certain speed I want it to stay at that speed and not go crazy when I pull the stick more than half like in every other halo

The aiming is a little bad but I don’t think that it is bad enough to quit the game

That is how halo has always been… Aside from the atrocity that was halo 4.

The deadzones are way too big.

I hope that is not so difficult to pass on Legendary

The aiming is one of the down sides of this game…but im not going to quit playing just because of that. Every game has its flaws.

Pretty big flaw in a game all about aiming.
