> Instead, we’d just like an enable disable option. We don’t want forced aim acceleration. That’s like forcing people to play inverted and saying “git gud” lol. Exaggerated, but similar right? It’s a preference, just like sensitivity is. People don’t pick 3 to get a feeling of 10 when reaching the 80 percent stick movement point, and people on 10 making small adjustments don’t expect a slowed smoothing effect on their aim as it speeds up slowly till 10 feeling laggy as aim gradually accelerates.
>
> For some, nice, awesome, the aim feels wonderful for you. Nothing feels wrong. You’re the targeted audience of this new aiming feel. We don’t want your game to feel any different, we’d just like an option for 1:1 ratio feeling on our stick without acceleration and no DZ issues for those experiencing that. I love this game, the aim feels inconsistent, but I love the game still. It’s a great new halo just starting out.
Hey, don’t be logical and rational on here. People don’t like that.

I know I don’t need to go into detail about how bad these aiming mechanics are, because so many other people have expressed what’s wrong, but it’s nothing like any Halo before it. Why change what was NEVER wrong with Halo? Every game in MCC feels amazing, as far as aiming is concerned. Going back and forth between different Halo games on there is effortless and I’m always confident that my shot will be on. This game is just wonky as hell. I can’t even begin to express my disappointment with the aiming mechanics. I really hope they listen to us and make this game feel like EVERY game before it. And not just a little deadzone tweaking or accel tweaking…it needs a 100% revert back to how we all know Halo is supposed to feel. It’s just not a fun game. I gave it a legitimate chance after 23 hours of play, but it’s still bad. There’s just no getting used to the aiming in this game. So much potential…damn…
Agreed, and even when a player knows how to use these aiming mechanics it gives no potential for the valued user to make a comeback. However i do believe its not the worst it can be, its difficult but it isnt bad enough for it to be deemed “unplayable”
The aiming is strange, I feel like as with all Halo games you always have a chance to turn the tables on someone, but in this case yo better hit all head shots or they can turn around halfway through a magazine and still win.
The problem is you not the game, they toned down aim assist compared to previous games so its harder to aim to make it more skill based
I actually haven’t played Halo for at least a year and a half now but did it always jump back when you were hit? Hell I don’t even really being able to zoom in on some of the guns like you can now. I really don’t see much of a problem with the aim but I’ve only played a couple of hours so far.

No aim assist on a console is a terrible idea for obvious reasons.

> Because I’m not the only person that thinks the aiming is atrocious. And I pick Tuesday because it’s the usual release/patch/update day. If they don’t fix it then I’m not playing a broken game any further. That’s all I’m saying.
OH NO, EmptyVoid95 will stop playing Halo if they don’t “fix” it! Start blogging the whole Internet needs to know of this tradegy.
Seriously though, sick of people like this saying they’ll quit if something doesn’t change. Frankly, no one is going to care if you stay or go.
343 better not change the aiming. It’s great the way it is. I will say it takes a few games to adjust and I wasn’t that keen on it at 1st but I got used to it in no time and its for the better. The magnetism in past games used to screw me up especially when your aiming and theirs multiple enemies. The reticle used to move on its own and pick targets For me and I’d just end up getting killed. People just need to stick with it. Stop comparing it to other games. Halo 5 is the most solid multiplayer experience that I can recall. The game loads so fast match making is quick and balanced. hit detection is spot on.
:3
It took some getting used but eventually I got a good feel for the aiming mechanics in the game

I did find it easier to do things in Halo 4 Multiplayer wise and have a better record. i hope over time i can even everything out in halo5. i find it that players are dropping out left and right making it hard to win as a team. Im a good player but even i am getting annoyed with the multiplayer

Why is everyone misunderstanding the problem with this.
It isn’t the toned down aim assist that’s the problem it’s the deadzone. A deadzone is how much you can aim BEFORE the body of the character model moves, that’s why in Halo 5, for what ever reason they use a really detrimental deadzone hence why people feel like they’re wrestling with the controls.
we need to adapt

The aiming isn’t tougher not because it requires more skill. The aiming is less intuitive and that is a sign of bad game design. For such a huge and basic part of any FPS, to screw something that up can be fatal in determining if a game is good or not.
I personally haven’t had a problem with the aiming, I’m not convinced it completely ruins the game at all.
If my ads stayed on I’d be fine with the aiming.
