This. Halo 5’s aiming is fine, the game has been out for one week. You guys will eventually get used to it…
It’s not that bad, i played games that were far worse.

Dude I have no idea what people are complaining about. The shooting mechanics in this game are superb. They feel fantastic. Aiming is just fine. 343 just cannot win with some of these people. I will be so happy when the COD crew hits the door. The rest should just go back to the MCC is they want to pretend to live in 2004. 343 did a superb job of making a next(current) gen Halo. They added in ADS and great new movement mechanics while still keeping a Halo feel to it all and giving a nod to the vets in the process. They could have just wiped it all away and started fresh but they tried to balance everything as much as they could.
I don’t see any problem with it.
Why don’t some people understand that, yes, we know the aiming is intentionally different, but there are actual bugs when using certain controllers. It’s not a design choice, it’s broken for some people.

Exactly ^ and that’s all 343 really wants during all of this controversy is to give it time. They have already said they will fix it if the community demands it but they just ask people give it a chance because they truly believe it is the best balance.

Nope.
Everyone is complaining about the lack of aim assist.
No. I’m not serious.
I think this post is garbage. The aiming is great. It feels like older halo, with a new twist. 23 hours isn’t any play at all. I put that much in the first 2 days, and frankly I think you’re just complaining like a child.
I’m honestly neutral on this subject. I remember my first game I thought I would never be any good at this game, but I’ve gotten used to it. While I do prefer the classic style of aiming, I’m ok with this change, and whether 343 decide to change it or not doesn’t really matter to me. But it is a shame to see so many people are having trouble accepting the fact that Halo can’t stay the same forever.

There wasn’t anything wrong with the previous halos. And it doesn’t have anything to do with sensitivity. People wouldn’t be complaining if it was just a simple adjustment, but it’s not. It’s broken. You can’t adjust to something that is incorrect and faulty.
I should know better than to come on these forums. It’s just depressing. When playing the game, it’s all a great time and everyone is having fun playing an awesome Halo multiplayer, then I come here and it’s like the sky is falling. Some of you will never be pleased. It’s just pathetic.

Glad to see someone appreciates 343’s work and the fact they are guiding Halo’s evolution.
It’s always interesting to read people who quit. As if the community cares. I recently quit watching Gotham. Does anybody care? I doubt it. Sorry you don’t like Halo 5 OP. If you prefer older Halo games go play them instead. God Bless America.
I know the aiming sucks but what can we do about it- nothing cause 343 don’t give a care about what happens to the community. As long as it sells then they will be happy.

This.
To be honest, I had more fun playing Slayer in the beta than in the final game. I really hope they fix the aim acceleration.
It is pretty difficult to land a head shot, especially with the new (and awesome) fast pace. I agree, it takes a lot of adjusting on any veteran’s part. I feel like even the slightest increase in aim assist (or something of the sort) is crucial when paired with the fact that everyone boosts around and clammers like crazy. I find myself using rapid fire much more often. and thats just not how I’ve always played halo.
I’m not really noticing the problem described here, except perhaps when aiming down sight (still trying to master that). Hip firing still feels natural to me, and I haven’t had any problem with it (outside of when shots don’t seem to connect once you take a dude’s shields out, but that’s a whole other issue).

People like you are what is wrong with the community, not 343. They put their heart and soul into this game trying to make it the best they could for us and they honestly did a fantastic job and all you can do is give them crap over stupid little things and complain. Get a freakin life
