Well my friends, I'm done with this game's aiming

I find myself getting twice as many perfects then I do generic kills, but my main issue is that aiming does feel a bit off and shot registration is just horrible for me, and I watch my videos over and over so I’m not just saying this randomly. In games where all my sgots hig my perfect kill ratio is 3 to 1 usually while other games it’s very rare to get that perfect due to aiming feeling off because of shot registration which ends up making me shoot more off because of me thinking I’m missing shots when I’m hitting. It feels stiff to aim and getting hit with a stray bullet and getting knocked out of smart link is just plain annoying. Why have it if a random AR bullet takes me out of it? At this point it’s bullet randomness.

What a worthless comment. These were the kinds of arguments people gave us when MCC came out. ‘‘If you think it’s so easy, then make your own game!’’

The issue is that those who are making the game are being paid to do so. It is their profession. It is by no means inappropriate to ask them to make changes to the game. They may not do as we ask, but these forums exist to discuss our opinions of the game and those things that we may or may not see as issues. If you don’t think it’s a problem, great! State your opinion. But this kind of ignorant crap just makes you look dumb.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a company make such drastic changes to the core gameplay mechanics from a beta to release. What the hell was the point of having a beta in the first place if you’re just going to take advice from a couple of “pros”. I genuinely feel misled and would not have purchased this game if it played this way during the beta.

The aiming in this game is total BS.
I use to have loads of kills, headshots with previous Halo games. Aiming on Halo 5 is inaccurate and weird.

I used a Battle Rifle with scope kept shooting more than 5x on enemy head and they did not even die. Next enemy I shot with a pistol (2 shots) not even the aiming was accurate nor was it marked anywhere on the enemy and I don’t have a clue how I killed the enemy.

Don’t know what 343i did… if it ain’t broken then don’t fix it.

Halo 5 sucks. I’m done with this game.

Honestly, I’m an old school Halo guy and it doesn’t bother me much.

After launch, I was 0.55 KD ratio after the first two days. Pitiful by my previous standards. I took some time, studied the maps, played solo a bit, got used to the movement, and boom - a few days later I’m up to 1.17 (AWESOME, RIGHT?) KDR in Arena and climbing.

I don’t think ive seen a company try to hard to single handedly ruin a game franchise like this.

If all you pukes crying about aiming would just leave already like you say you are, this community would be multitudes better.

We must be playing different games or something. Mine feels pretty smooth and nice.

Clearly. Because I feel like my biggest enemy in the game is the aiming. And I did not notice the problem until I got to a high rank where everyone knows how to strafe. Now it’s just impossible to consistently track a target. I’ll always get them one shot and then after that I can’t hit them for -Yoink-

I’m one of those 10+ years players and I agree I hope they fix it. If halo fans wanted change we’d go play a different game. Why change Halo to be similar to other games? Let it be its own thing.

How about instead of whinging you do something about it, send someone a letter start a petition or something.

This forum exists so that people can state their opinions about the game, sir.

And here I am just thinking, and I know I’m going to sound like Totalbiscuit, but what pros actually think aim acceleration is a good thing? I absolutely hate playing PC and console games using aim acceleration and I always select raw input instead of acceleration, if there is a choice. Raw input makes my accuracy as precise as my hand or thumb is. Aim acceleration ruins it.

Holy -Yoink-, this community is amazing at dividing each other. Let people who don’t like the aiming have an opinion, stop giving people more and more reasons to leave the game.

Yeah, definitely some kinks to work out for aiming, but it works out for me most of the time. Hear that they’re working on a patch though, so hold tight for some news on that this week.

And guys, don’t leave Halo 5 just yet. Launch could be worse, at least we can play online games.

That is some kind of special mad. Amazing.

I agree aiming is off and beta felt so awesome. Take it back to beta and I’m back in.

I haven’t had any problems with aiming. Though, that’s probably because I hip-fire 99% of the time.

The aiming is fine…there’s a much higher skill gap from aiming though compared to halo 4, I guess people are just used to that.

I like the aiming in H5, but there are definitely bugs they need to iron out with it, and the bullet magnetism is a little ridiculous. I think I’d prefer a little less magnetism combined with ironing out of the acceleration. Your aim just goes wild sometimes when you reticle is like, right next to their head. I’m a little torn, I like that it’s harder to aim but in some ways, some of the things that make it harder also simply make it frustrating. It’s really hard to track someone, it’s like the aiming system is fighting you a little bit, and diagonal movement is much less sensative than horizontal movement.

I love how someone voices their opinion on something thaqt is legitimately affecting a large portion of the community and people get all up in arms about it. What did the OP do wrong? Voice his entirely legitimate opinion of a fundamentally flawed mechanic? Oh no. Everyone get your torches and pitchforks!
