Pleasure to meet you, your majesty

Either way, on dec 8th youll see, the absolute lack of change or polish, hell the game might still even be called a beta after that :joy::joy:

I’m also the Queen of England.

Seriously though, I seriously doubt many if any changes will come at launch, if any. This really is a beta in name only.

This is the Day 1 launch content and experience as stated by 343 with zero other statements to make me believe otherwise. If they have any intentions of adding playlists or modes for Launch, they should probably get around to telling us at this point. We’re past the point of “Oh we’re holding this for a nice little surprise”

So much of the community is fuming about the 3 playlists and 9 modes that confirmation one way or the other would be helpful at this point.

Sure it’s a Live Service, things will eventually change, but don’t kid yourself thinking it’s changing in a meaningful way before January or February.

Then feel free to call me out then, I’ll concede

Live service killed halo, or is killing it.
Halo 5 suffered under the live service, points in time were finding a game was so difficult in certain modes because the population fell off a cliff, only times where we would see a boost in players was when an update dropped, but after a few weeks it went back to almost unplayable.
I dont want this to happen to infinite, because the game is great, its just everything else is holding it back from mtx to stupid community choices.
And yeah, 343 need to be more transparent, i shouldn’t have to go to a youtuber to get credible info about halo, it should come straight from a 343 director or lead producer, theyve literally been hiding in the dark since the early multiplayer vidocs

I just have a suspicion. Never said I was right.

Believe me man that isnt what i want to do, i just want you to understand that this company isnt your friend and doesnt have your best interests in mind, and that all this energy your spending defending them is ultimately going to be wasted the next time 343 screws something up horrendously. Seriously go take a look at every halo under their belts and tell me we arnt repeating the exact same mistakes over and over again with 343, and nothing is changing

I’ve been around long enough to know that companies aren’t my friend and I appreciate the concern I really do. Like honestly, all the facetious responses aside, I understand what you’re telling me.

I see this title as a good set of bones, and I see the infrastructure underneath. There’s a good chance you’re absolutely right and this is what we’re stuck with. But given how much fun and how well put together the overall (but relatively bare bones) experience is, I’m choosing to be optimistic that the limited scope we have now isn’t the extent of what we’ll get.

I could be wrong, I’m most likely wrong, but I’m gonna hold out hope that this isn’t the case.

Most open betas are generally stress tests and bug tests and thats it. They are generally always what the final product will look like.

Except here the thing. Halo 5 didn’t have Splitscreen and it kill it the most. And another big issue was if you wasn’t connected to internet you could not access anything else other than halo 5 campaign on solo only.

Because you could bypass the rng of a single playlist which means you’d play less. Seems pretty obvious to me.

You’re crazy. H5 was basically anything but Halo.

Well they’ve already said they’re working on changing the challenge system and making massive changes. They will likely do the same for playlists, though maybe not as quickly as we’d all like.

this is not a “Beta”,they just slapped beta onto it so the backlash would be minimal compared to what it wouldve been if it was “fully launched”.

Oh believe me I’d much rather they focus on the other issues; the radar is terrible, the vehicle physics are bad, the server tick rate is low and I got killed around corners all the time, and hit registration is terribly off. Bullet magnetism is incredibly frustrating. That should all be prioritized before progression, but it won’t happen unfortunately; too many people are upset.
