How about bringing back the button combos of Halo 2 with the movement mechanics (jumping/dodging) of Unreal Tournament 3?
We want faster pace right?

Nevermind. I forgot what site I was on. I’ll be back Monday to see if they fixed the game yet.
Im playing halo 2, and the only combo I can find is jump crouch.
why would you want button glitches that promote abuse and take 0 skill?

Because quad shotting someone is really easy to pull off.
So is BXRing sword guy
So is getting the bxr off without having a full clip (probably the hardest of all the button combos to master)
So is learning to play claw so you can aim while double shotting
I can keep going if you want.

Well, instead of doing that you could tell him about BXR and any other combos you may know of as implied by your use of plural ‘combos’.
Also, BXR wasn’t exactly so much a ‘button combo’ as a glitch in the way that Halo 2 handled animation transition memory and cooldown timing, but sure just go ahead and assume that everyone knows what you’re talking about and be a -Yoink- when they ask a polite question. Kindly remember that not everyone has actually had a go of the multiplayer for every Halo. I started with Halo 3 and only dabbled in 2 and CE.
Oh, who am I kidding. OP obviously isn’t into this whole ‘two-way conversation’ thing we youngsters do nowadays. I’m just going to get yelled at.
I’d like to see the return of button combos. It would add to the skill gap and would freshen up the gameplay. Pretty much every shooter is going to have thrusters these days but how many can say they have button combos? Would make halo more unique.
What are bad gameplay mechanics besides sprint or clamber?
The only gameplay mechanics I see are the ones from halo
To the claim that button combos increase the skill gap, I’d like to point out that it was only ever a viable tactic when using the Battle Rifle (due to its burst-fire), thus it only increased the skill gap with one weapon in the sandbox (not to mention the issue of modded controllers eliminating the skill associated with their execution).
As for reintroducing button combos like BXR, it would have one of two effects:
Nah. I’d rather try out these new mechanics that enhance mobility.

Sprint is an old mechanic, there is nothing “new” about it.

He was obviously talking about universal thruster, slide, clamber and so on.

We have seen those in gaming before, they are not new. Now I am not saying that I do not like them (except Sprint), but these are not innovations.

This is all implying they copy and paste halo 2’s glitches. Its entirely possible that should they decide to include button combos, they make new ones.
