I saw something saying Two Decades Later, Halo 2’s Iconic E3 Trailer Will Be Playable but it looks like that’s only going to be on PC I guess they don’t want to make the effort to make it playable on consoles just like 343 Industries

The issue is not about if it will run on an Xbox or not. It’s an issue with how the Xbox players will be able to play it. That’s a big can of worms and I could talk about many things from the Xbox store features to verifying the consoles stay secure. There could also be company standards (enforced partially because 343i is owned by Microsoft) for what the minimum acceptable level of quality is for a console release of any content.

The intent of this is to restore assets for use in community mods. These are not remakes but ground up restorations of tags and a couple maps too. If you want to play then good news: a very cheap and outdated PC nowadays will be able to run Halo 2 perfectly fine
