I am among many people that would say this game is friggin awesome! Been a hardcore fan since Halo 1 in 2001. Never looked back, loved every single Halo game…until now.
Loving the weapons, loving the gametypes, and loved the campaign. What am I not in love with? JOIN IN PROGRESS. I loved the idea before Halo 4 came out but now it’s becoming a huge problem. Joining games wouldn’t be a huge problem but I am getting into games with terrible host and down by ~20.
Even when I join into a lobby I get the same outcome. I have tried very hard to enjoy this game for the last week and I think I am finally giving up. I shouldn’t be getting any lag with 30mb down and 6mb up. I’m not saying any other game had the same problems but Halo is very dependent on landing every shot to gain ground on the opponent.
Sorry for my raging BS but I am just very disappointed in how this game operates. Good thing I didn’t fork money over for this. I really hope this gets better but for now this game is going back on the shelf.

I agree with you 100%. JIP has to go. I rather start a new game and be down a teammate or two then rather join in a match where the other team just needs 3 more kills and its over. Atleast the other way I have a fighting chance.
When compared to the alternative - the unfunny charade that is a 4v1 game - Join in Progress is easily the lesser evil. Especially for Social playlists, which aren’t supposed to be about appealing to the “hurr durr must win” mentality.

You are among the small percentage because it’s happening to most of my friends on my friends list. JIP seems to be doing a lot more harm than good. Not only that but this game is as inconsistent as Halo 2 was…I’m hanging on a thread of hope for this game but for now I think it’ll have to collect dust.
