The end of these forums marks an end of an era, the end of probably the last bastion of meaningful conversation surrounding this great franchise. I genuinely love Halo to this day, and it sucks that now my only means of conversing it with other people will be through reddit and discord where meaningful discussion topics get buried under all sorts of fluff like memes and stuff.
Well, anyways, let’s send these forums out… with a bang.

Hell, if we’re lucky maybe one day someone will create new Halo discussion forums. But this is just pure copium
It’s… strange to see the end of all this.
The forums provide a place for the community to give feedback and host discussions. 343i removing Waypoint is just their way of silencing the community even further. Worst part is, Waypoint is the main way the community can keep talking to eachother. It’s one of the few places that gave me hope that Halo could recover… just a shame to see 343i kill off another community.

It is sad to see it go. I guess the writing was on the wall, with how little they engage with the community here compared to social media.
Spent years on the forum, to be honest there has been way too much negativity, threats to 343 and foul language, so I’m not surprised. Kind of ruined it for people who wanted to have positive threads despite any problems. Thankyou to 343, the community, the king of England, and Bob…

I’m on the fence about using hard earned income to have a nice lady eat my peach
I agree it has been less than ideal at times but aren’t those things actually worse everywhere else? I think this place has been better moderated and generally friendlier than most social media.
I don’t really use media platforms as such so always been a bit old skool and used forum, guess I’ll have to learn to use other things to talk about Halo things

So the guy with a terrible attitude and no support is lecturing someone on how bad their attitude and how unpopular they are. Even if you had a valid point beyond that, nobody would care.
Clearly you aren’t worried about your incoming ban but I must say I’m looking forward to it.
