Well everyone, it got worse

Bro chill.

Respectfully, we need to try and steer clear of personal attacks. We all have our reasons for the way we act. He could have a lot going on.

That is truly disappointing but something more sad is that I read your post as ā€˜Not One Piece’’ and assumed we were supposed to get One Piece themed armor ಄_಄

This ā€œbetaā€ tag is just marketing hype, like it’s always been. It’s classic conditioning.

They’re just giving us the worst version of a system, then dialing back for launch so they can act like they did the community a favor. For all intents and purposes, this is the full release of the multiplayer. They even said these are the launch maps and modes.

They’re just testing the waters to see how much nickel and diming they can get away with before the campaign releases.

I too thought Halo being free to play would be a mistake. I’ve seen this coming. The battle pass is a stupid addition, but it’ll change. It’ll go away and be replaced with a better system that’ll make both sides happy.

I miss when Beta actually meant beta. Some games were God awful playing in beta, but hey, you got to play them early in their buggy state. Now it’s just a buzzword.

I really hope youre right mate. Id love nothing better than to look back at this in a few months and laugh at how we overeacted.

I think that the chances are very high that this battle pass system will not be replaced in time before the great falling away of this game [player base decline]. It’d be too little, too late then.

There’s a difference between a beta and pre release software. That much I understand. And yes I know all about the nickeling and diming trend. I’m just trying to remain neutral for now.

For the first time, I’m actually enjoying Infinite’s multiplayer. So they got something right.

343 brought the free to pay model to new heights. Now watch them add $30 dance emotes.

I would’ve bet money that beating campaign on legendary unlocked Chief’s armor for MP. If they end up charging for it in the store, that’s just be insane.

All the nickel and diming tells me is that to 344 Industries I’m not as much of a fan as someone who willing to just use their credit card. They get access to customization options much faster.

Unfortunately that is most likely what will happen

Summary

So you’re telling me right now that my only incentive to buy the Campaign is for a story, two charms, a pose, some emblems and some lame armor coatings that I’ll only get to use for one set of armor? And all of that for the full price of a modern AAA game?

These greedy bastards. I don’t care how damn good the multiplayer is if this is how we’re being treated.

It just seems odd that they couldn’t put a single armor set in there.

If the Campaign was around 20 or 30 dollars, I’d have less of a problem. A cool story and some cosmetics is worth that much at best, but only because of the story.

I’ll say this. I’m not opposed to buying things for games I enjoy. I’ve bought a couple cosmetics for Destiny 2. But then again that games doesn’t waste my time with it’s season pass and offers many avenues to unlock content I don’t have to swipe my credit card for.

Indeed, I too think that the campaign is quite overpriced such that it’s just a full-on cash grab right now.

Are we sure EA didn’t take over?
