Catering to all the casual noobs who only play at home co-op. I appreciate what you are doing an I for one are glad that you are. For one playing against Dino123 and his 3 guests who are playing matchmaking only ruins the experience for me and others who have to deal with playing against these noobs it is no fun. I appreciate now that you can focus on giving us great visual fidelity and a better overall multiplayer experience as we don’t have to worry about scaling things back for the sake of the casual couch co-op crowd.
Seriously… that couldn’t be more far-fetched.
Home co-op = casual noobs?
I understand that you’re excited and don’t understand these people OP - but I would think about your words very carefully otherwise threads like these won’t end well (for you).

Wow, arrogant and pretentious much? The couch co-op noob crowd are as much a part of Halo as anyone. Now, I don’t have an issue with no splitscreen but since when did your ability become a benchmark as to whether you’re even allowed to play online?

It doesn’t they can still play online it just makes the experience better as there is now less of them to play against at anyone time, No point playing against 4 people who are limited to 30 fps or less there end when I can play at a full 60 fps the advantage I would would have just from this over the other players would be enormous would not even be worth the effort to play them. Also I have nothing against couch co-op I don’t mind the occasion dabble in it myself. But 343 can now make a better game for by getting rid of this mostly useless feature in this day and age and giving us a better experience overall for it as they are not held back by such feeble limitations.
Halo 5: Guardians will feature four player co-op via LIVE or 2-player local co-op via split screen. More later…
this is is a tweet sent by josh Holmes. I don’t know about multiplayer but I expect there will be split screen of some sort. Could be wrong though.
I’d imagine that they’d allow for up to a 2-player split screen, I think that the issue here would be more about processing everyone on the screen at once and how the game would look split into 4 sections than anything.

Local:
- Campaign: One player only.
- MP: 2-player split screen.
That tweet from Josh never mentioned campaign co-op.
But wait, how is playing co-op mode at home make someone a casual or a noob?
And even so, you DO know that these people continuing to play Halo is the only way they’re gonna get better at the game…right? They have as much of a right to play the game as much as everyone else does.
