As most of you guys know the forums have been very vocal about the BR and the prospect of it being a five shot weapon.
While natural logic and balance issues arise with the current weapon sandbox and how uneven the guns appear to be it seems to go on deaf ears.
The BR will remain a five shot weapon regardless of what we have asked for. Seeing as how 343i has balanced the DMR to where it only has 14 rounds per clip and therefore it can only kill 2 people per clip just like a 5 shot BR.
What this means is that once again there is a dominate weapon (DMR) that outclasses every other weapon in the sandbox because due to kill times and it being incredibly precise long range if you are a great player then all you need is a DMR and wont have to worry about any other gun winning at any range.
GG 343i. I along with every player that does not care about nostalgia and wants to win will be forced into using one weapon since it wins in ever situation.

And all I want is for them to be right!! Please hopefully the gameplay makes more sense then the facts that we know…i wanna use a DMR and get crushed by a BR person mid range due to the guns being made that way but as of right now, if we shoot at the same time and I am using the DMR and they are using the BR and neither one of us misses then guess what? I win due to kill times and therefore the DMR is the weapon to use of all ranges.
Oh well I guess that will just be how this game is. Good thing the rest of the game looks amazing:)

I haven’t played Halo 3 since Reach has come out but I distinctly remember the BR being a four shot… what gives?

Except for the fact that most people who have played the game said that both the Carbine and DMR outclass the BR…
343 says they want to increase the pace of the game; gives us the slowest killing utility weapon in the history of the series.
The DMR still is horribly slow and useless for cqc, and struggles as mid range. Two players that teamshoot Br were supposed to outshoot 2 DMR according to the info, not to mention a little strafing might just save you.
In Halo 4 no weapon is supposed to be “the best”, BR, DMR, even AR should all be good and usable at their intended range. Making te Br a 4 shot kill is just making it to fast, nothing else stands a chance any more and that’s not balanced at all.
Learn how to use more then 1 gun and Halo 4 will be a much better/funnier game to play, stick with just 1 gun and expect to get beaten, simple as that. Evolve, adapt, expand!

You do realize that although the DMR has a slower RoF than its Reach predecessor, it still has a faster RoF than the BR.

The Battle Rifle is fine as a 5 shot. It’s balanced with the rest of the sandbox. You people need to learn that you can’t have everything you want.

Is 343i always right? NO! Does everyone who think’s the BR should stay a 5sk blindly think 343i is always right? NO! You act like there’s only two sides of this coin, you either don’t like what 343i is doing, or you blindly like what 343i is doing. And that’s the WRONG way to go about things on these forums. There are many degrees of opinions on this topic, and not all of them fit into your nice little view of things.

Agreed, Would it be nice for the BR to be a 4sk, maybe, but only if it’s balanced, if 5sk is more balanced than 4sk, then so be it, it’s a 5sk weapon. I haven’t played Halo 4 yet, so I’m going off of what I’ve heard from those who’ve played it, and from what 343i has said, so far, the BR is balanced, yes, the kill time is a little slower than other weapons, but oh well, that’s an eye blink or two, on a burst weapon vs a semi auto weapon.

I find it funny how they fail to realize the other weapons were just very weak and monotonous. But, I guess it’s easier for them to just blame the utility weapon.

Have you played the game yet and traied out the BR? And what’s your reasoning/logic for having it a 4sk weapon? Because it’s what the BR has always been? Because the BR shouldn’t have any other weapon balanced with it? Or maybe because you like OP weapons?
Yes, the kill time is something to gripe about, but that’s easily adjusted by ROF, but where the BR is a burst weapon, I don’t even think it needs that.

Which is always worth a good lol cause talking about a game that has nothing to do with the current one is sooo logical and makes sense right??
Cause the facts are facts and cant be refuted. But please try!! I have yet to hear a reason to keep it 5 shot that makes logical sense and i love getting flamed for actually having sense:)
