If you havent heard of it yet, yesterday was the final transfer of all the Halo data from Bungie to 343i. Now if one wants to check bungie for stats it will no longer be updated with new information.
The only thing i really can ask is, can we be mad at Bungie? Should we really be angry with them? Leaving an open-ended ending to their game which was to “finish the fight,” then releasing Reach which was proposed to be one of the worst games in the franchise, and then just simply waving goodbye to their whole fanbase.
When one looks at it like that then yes, we should be mad at Bungie. But, i am NOT angered by their decision, not like it mattered anyway but still. They did supply us with this franchise that we have all grown to know and love. Along with the countless memories.
They supplied us with the weekly updates, the bungie favorites, and the blame stosh’s. It’s not that i am really angered, but moreso just saddened by their embarking from the Halo franchise. And the only thing i really can ask is if 343 can not only do what Bungie did, but do it better.
And that means with Halo 4 they should bring back the social aspect of it. They should bring back a “bungie favorites” type of aspect of the game. They should make some playlists not allow party chat so the people who want to talk and meet new people can. And most of all they should make this site better, all the time. Bungie.net was a great place to be at. Besides the jerks and scumbags that trolled people’s threads with negativity and rick-rolling, it was a good site to be on.
The only thing i really do hope for is that as community everyone can make this site a powerhouse JUST like b.net was. Even though the forums there are still open. This is the main discussion base for Halo 4, and the whole community should rebuild here. Which i hope it will.
