Well 343. You've done it now!

You’ve restored halo to a state of glory.
Honestly it think halo 4 will be amazing!
Here’s my personal review.

Maps: They look amazing, there not gray, they look like they flow very well, they have AMAZING skyboxs, and the big one, they aren’t ripped from the campaign!

Graphics: FREAKING AMAZING! Not as, uh, ‘shiny’ as halo 3, but not nearly as gray as reach! Overall, great job with the graphics!

Music: AWESOME!

Gameplay: Well, i might as well point out that you guys are awesome because of no bloom! I don’t mind sprint, i think it could work well. And, the thing that bothered me the most about reach was fixed, you guys made the player speed and jump height bigger!

Overall, i give this game a 9.5 out of 10, and i’ll probably give it more once i’ve actually played it! So guys, please don’t complain about the little thing you don’t think you like even though you haven’t seen it in action yet, and compliment 343 for bringing halo closer to its roots.

Thank you for your time.

Did what!?

Everyone moans at sprint, but I think it kinda means bigger maps, if you know what I mean, so it would be easier to get around, and perks is something I ain’t completely down with, but as usual I am willing to give it a shot, besides they could just be ones like more grenades bigger clips, hell I wouldn’t mind an explosive resistant perk with all the grenades and stuff

I feel the same way. I’ve been telling everyone that 343 is going to revive Halo and make it as good as it was back in Halo 2 days.

I’m honestly very impressed.

> I’m honestly very impressed.

As am i my friend, as am i…

Gameplay looks good but i don’t like sprint and perks so we just have to wait and see. As of right now halo 4 looks more like halo reach and crysis 2 than halo 3 and 2

100% agree

Everything except the gameplay was impressive. I’ll wait for further info until I make my final judgement about the gameplay. But at the moment, I feel disappointed. No matter how I try to look at it, the gameplay looks out of place to me. Too much generic elements from other modern shooters.

No Bloom… I noticed that too.
It didn’t pan out in Halo: Reach, though the concept was definitely good.

I just hope 343 won’t make the Battle Rifle some overpowered weapon like it always has been, to the point where we never have to pick up any other weapons. It makes for boring gameplay when you only need one weapon and boom- no map control ever needed, no other situations being encountered… ugh. It just isn’t fun.

So no Bloom? I’m hopeful that this will improve gameplay. But if they make the Battle Rifle too powerful along with that… erg.

I’m very happy.

I find it funny and ridiculous that people are excited about this factoid… The multiplayer maps in Reach were designed FOR multiplayer, then shoehorned into the campaign. They weren’t just spaces they ripped from the campaign, they were DESIGNED for multiplayer first and foremost, and then they were added to the campaign. Personally, I enjoyed that approach, as it gives much better context to the multiplayer maps. Then again, I’m a lore nut, so story things are very enticing to me.

The only thing I am concerned about…is perks. BUUUUT, I’ve only seen like a minute of gameplay, I have no reason to judge.

The Halo 4 first look has really impressed me.

I cannot wait to see more!

Then you’ll lone halo 4! They said that there would be small stories behind the multiplayer maps!

No Bloom? BR returned?

That;s about 98% of the topics on this site satisfied.

Only problem is this perk nonsense…have to wait and see on that one.

Indeed. It gave context to the maps in a story-wise setting as well.

That is why I thought it was a little bit of a ‘-Yoink- move’ if I may, when first Frankie talks about how the maps aren’t going to be the same as parts of campaign, then talks about how the maps have never really had anything to do with the story.

Not that I’m against all new maps mind you. Either way is fine as long as it plays well (and has Blood Gulch). But it just kind of irked me that he said that is all.

The maps in reach all looked the same boring colors in my opinion

I agree with you on that.

After watching the video on the main page I had to bend over and pick my jaw off the ground. I had faith and it seems to already be paying off in full and that was only a four minute long reveal. The new armor looks brutal yet sleek and the BR looks just plain devastatingly powerful. I don’t think I can wait for the Holidays.
