I was wondering if every post has to be hidden and go through the spam filter to see if it is legit.
Can we get an OP symbol for a thread creator or something that shows who created a thread. It would help people know when that person is replying in their thread.

It looks like users can have custom avatars now, how can I change mine? I don’t see the option anywhere.

Why does the bot auto hide quotes when they aren’t even that big? It’s kind of annoying.

This is probably due to how the forum system has been implemented and that the default option is usually a reference to the quote.
If you wish to add a quote, one option is to highlight the text and click on the option "Quote.

Hi! I’m slowly getting used to it, but I’m getting there.
When in threads using the app IOS, there is a ”sideway scroll” to the right, but there is nothing there except gray. It’s a bit annoying and makes the format feed like it isn’t designed for phone use.
Would be great to get ”pages” in threads like in the old forums. The threads feel very messy and it’s hard to find specific posts.
The criteria to get the “regular” trust rank seems to expect too much of us. I know that’s a not on you, but on Discourse.
A lot of us use the forums every day but might stick to 3 sections or so, and there are a lot of threads that we’ve seen made before or just aren’t interesting.
Don’t quote me on this, but I believe things like this are in the works. May take a little time, but more cool stuff is coming

The very first post a user makes here will always be flagged for approval. There is an anti-spam system in place as well that looks like it will learn over time. Still in teething phase here, so there will be things that may need tweaked. We’ll keep an eye out and see what’s possible
Discourse has this ability somewhere, I know I can surface it in CSS. Probably will need a small code update to surface it which won’t be possible at the moment.
If you use the Stylus browser plugin I can write a small bit of code to show it, but it won’t work on mobile

With the arrival of Discord, in which we have an exclusive channel for Spanish speakers, added to the fact that we have Spanish-speaking mods, plus the effort of 343 to open up to their entire community and welcome them, I hoped that we would really have a subforum in Spanish. Even more so when it becomes evident that in the Halo community there is a very high percentage of Spanish speakers.
I know that the new website is still under construction and that it has many updates ahead, but I have a sad feeling that among those future plans it is not in mind to create these sub-forums for the different languages most spoken in the community.
I would like, if possible, 343i for you to provide us with information on this matter.

Are photos (and links) bugged or something? The site lets us upload photos, but then I get an error submitting my comment or post because it says photos (and links) aren’t allowed.
They’ve disabled them.

Very cool updates, liking the look of the new waypoint.
Just realized that people can outright make threads in the parent categories like Community and Games without going into the actual sub-categories like General Discussion, Halo Infinite, so on so on.
The issue is that these posts will just get buried (I seen it happen already) as all threads made in the sub-categories are listed in the parent categories list of threads making it harder to find the threads posted directly under the parent one.

I’d honestly suggest disabling that if possible as it may lead to some users asking stuff that may be generally useful to a few people yet it gets unseen due to how the system deals with it.

As an aside as I think they may have been caught already. The “Support” link in the Forums navbar leads to nowhere. I am guessing its intended to link to the “Other” parent category.

The “Other” parent category acts like its own sub-forum, and doesn’t display links to or a list of all threads in “Halo API Support” and “The Library” threads.

There is a whole category called “uncategorized” that users can post in which if someone found (like I did by accident) may post under and not have their posts be seen by anyone. (Its actually really odd. That said some users have posted there asking questions)

I noticed the MCC Feedback thread doesn’t keep itself pinned for me even though Postums has pinned that thread. Even when I pin it myself, it will unpin itself after a day. Is there a way to keep it pinned?

Froom memory, this can’t be disabled. At least if it can be, it’s not immediately apparent or needs some dev time that isn’t available right now. Noted issue wither way.
Not sure what’s possible to do about this right now, for the time being we’ll just keep an eye on it
