Not sure if anyone else has ever had this happen, but today I went into theater to save a film from yesterday. I did this awesome (and really lucky) snapshot headshot on an enemy that was coming down on me for a ground pound and wanted to save it. I joined in progress, so I couldn’t just watch myself from the match start, so I watched through the entire film and never saw myself enter. Then, by sheer luck at the end, I saw myself do it on someone else’s screen. However, not only was it not my gamertag, but it wasn’t even my armor on the guy that did it. Has anyone else ever had this happen?
Also, is there any way to take and save a clip from a game? I can’t figure any of that out.
For some reason theater will replace or move around layers in the lobby, some may not even be in the game.
Theater has some weird things that happen in it.

well, that’s what xboxdvr is for. would be nice though to actually save the dang clip. Like have theater connected to xboxdvr, so if you want to save it from theater, the whole film will end up in your xbox dvr. Then from there you can edit the raw film.
Don’t worry I had the same exact thing happen except for it was a 79-6 game for me.
Yeah, I’ve noticed this weird thing before too. Then you have to toggle the kill feed off in the theater so it doesn’t look like you’re recording some random dude’s highlight moment like a jabrone.
I didn’t think 343 could mess up theater, but they proved me wrong lol

When you find “you” you’ll see that you start off with “your” armor & weapon skins but as time goes on “you” becomes “SUM0 NiNJA” with "SUM0 NiNJA"s armor & weapon skins.
It’s a known glitch.
I make screenshots all the time. I don’t think it’s a d-pad issue.
If I join a game late, I never get to my first person view on the d-pad. When I find the particular thing I’m looking for from another players view its not my armor or avatar. I’m a female and it’s always a male in recruit armor.
if it’s cool enough I take the shot anyway.
I don’t think the armor files load to the theater files if you join late.
Also, you can snap game dvr and record clips from halo theater. It’s a huge pain.
Theater is awesome. Being able to move through the entire game world for each game is amazing.
But they sure did make it harder to do anything fun or useful with it.
Halo theater to game dvr to upload studio. Tedious.
Why why put all the effort and support into theater if there’s no simple user interface for clips and screenshots.
