Weird Physics

So I was looking at this and it got me thinking about the chain in the picture. I decided to try it out. Then this happened - initially the chain acted like it was set to fixed physics (despite everything being set to normal), but after grabbing and releasing each piece quickly and grabbing the top before any of the rest settled, I managed to get it to move around. Is anyone aware of a method of achieving this in such as way as to keep the objects moving freely in a custom map? I’m contemplating the concept of a map held up by chains, rocking back and forth.

I believe if you have each of the individual links set to normal and spawn them in a suspended station not resting they will spawn moving. following this you can occasionally use explosions to make things move would be interesting to see if it works all the time especially since these objects are interacting with each other.

omg datz one kool brumak awsome job whoever did dat

Let me know if you ever make such a map. I would play it.

It’s not possible. Normal-physics immovables will only use the physics setting in Forge. In all other game modes, immovables are static regardless of their physics setting.

Sorry. :\

Awww…well that’s a bummer. Either way, what I saw in the vid was pretty neat.

While it may only be possible it Forge, that could still be very useful.

Cool find.
