I’ve played at least 6 games out of 10 in as a plat 5 - plat 6 player where the opposing team has at least 1 onyx player or even 2. We are so badly outmatched its not even close.
My latest experience is
My team: D4, P6 and G4 + some guy who left 3 mins in cause we were getting rolled
Enemy team: Onyx 1601, Onyx 1554, D6 and G4
We got destroyed 50-12…and I gained points (feels bad man)
I can understand if this happens sometimes to balance out teams, but having such an extreme disparity among players in lobby has rarely happened the last few weeks I’ve played. I usually don’t ever see these caliber of players in my games.
Either there aren’t too many players in my region or matchmaking is weird. Anyone else getting these sorta games?

Skill matching is completely broken since the update. I’m an onyx and I’m matching against golds and unrankeds, winning Slayers 50-14. 343 has to fix asap

I’m platinum, just matched with another platinum, a bronze, and unranked against an onyx, a diamond, a gold, and a leaver. Even going 4v3, we didn’t stand a chance.
There must be some serious spaghetti code if the matchmaking algorithm completely breaks whenever they change something.
We almost won a 2v4 oddball game last night lmaoo😂 idk whats going on but something broke in the matchmaking last night. All of a sudden our team of Onyxs started getting against teams of gold and plats over and over again.
Even if you created teams by randomly placing players on each, it would be balanced 50% of the time. That means the broken algorithm is deliberately stacking strong teams against weak ones.

No you don’t understand. Something broke yesterday. Its not functioning properly. We were SLAMMING on gold and silvers last night that had no business being in our lobby every game.

The game isn’t limiting who can be in a lobby, as long as the average CSR of both teams are fairly close. This leads to very weird lobbies, I’m sitting at around 1700 CSR and the I’ve had it where the opposing team had x2 1900s and x2 low diamonds vs x1700 and x2 low 1500s.
You would think it’s “balanced” problem is, is that they were clearly abusing the system and trying to boost the 1900 player and someone was just using a smurf account.
They need to limit the range in which you can match against. When there is a huge gap in CSR when partied, they need to have a minimum of which that player is recognized as so it doesn’t cause these lobbies that make no sense, especially when it’s pairing people who are solo queuing.

yes this has been an issue since the update… mismatched teams with one completely dominating the other. Not a fun experience for anyone. Friends are bored of this now and don’t want to play infinite anymore 
I noticed and raised this as an issue the other day but it was play testing in Social only. Have the same issues carried over to Ranked? If so, it’s just yet another example of 343i incompetence and they haven’t fully QA tested their update.
The actual randoms are being stacked this way. I played a match where my 3 randoms were brand new accounts. You can totay tell the difference between boosters, derankers, and new players. These guys were trying their hearts out…and when you see a player get absolutely destroyed on your death cam by a enemy you left 1 shot…man its all bad.
There definitely exists the MM manipulation, but match made games are actually now worse than ever. Unplayable. More players will be abandoning the game.

I wonder if something got reverted serverside within the past hour, as my last few games have been much more balanced.

Definitely something broken. Almost all matches are lopsided with one team being totally stacked against a team of plats and golds.
I don’t know the overall situation, but it may be also a population problem. Today for the first time since launch I had problem finding match in both crossplay and solo/duo, actually I had to play something else because of the waiting time.
Imagine playing on xbox while platinum 3 and get matched against onix pc players.
This game is an absolute joke.
I hope they get lionhead treatment as soon as possible.

I’m under the impression that they are going to fix this and reset all our ranks soon…hopefully really soon.
Isn’t it the weirdest thing that when you lose you gain CSR, but when you win you don’t gain CSR?
That could be the case, but I was playing solo duo so if the other team had 2 onyx and 2 mid diamonds and my team had 2 plats and 2 golds you would think the mm could mix that up into slightly better balanced teams
Oh yeah, no doubt about that, for sure that should be better.
