Weird Issue With Vehicle Evasion

There was one issue in the tech preview I forgot to mention way back because the game was so -Yoinking!- good. But remember how in older Halo’s when, someone in a vehicle (specifically a ghost) attempted to splatter you, you could always jump over it to evade getting flattened? Well, in Infinite there’s this weird occurrence where when that happens, in the middle of your jump, you get sort of warped in front of the vehicle in lieu of leaping over it successfully. You literally get sucked in front of a speeding enemy vehicle.

Did anyone else encounter this issue? Or is it just me?

Fighting vehicles in infinite is super fun, but its weird when that happens.

I didn’t have this issue. Did you crouch jump?

Nope, I just jumped over em’. I was thinking it was a connection or netcode issue.

The crouch jump helps. It allows it so your feet can’t get hit.

I didn’t encounter it, although it was an older build technical flight with numerous bugs, so even though it happened, it may not be like that on release, hopefully someone did a ticket about it?

Hm, I never crouched jumped in previous halo games so jumping normally always worked fine for me. I wish there was a video that I could show you what I’m talking about.

I’m pretty sure it was a common bug during multiplayer flighting, and it would happen when sliding as well. There’s no way 343 doesn’t know about it though, so we don’t really need to worry about it anymore.
