Have any of you experienced anything like this before?
It happened to me a few times yesterday, but after I power cycled the Xbox it was ok. This has also happened a few times before, maybe once every couple of weeks. It’s only done it on Halo 5, which is why I posted it here. Just wondered if anyone else had the same problem?
Yeah me and my friend had this problem a couple of weeks ago, it stopped when reset are consoles. The severs seem to enjoy acting like this regularly 
If an issue stops when you reset you console, I don’t think the servers are at fault. The console may be overheating and the processor glitched/lagged and it didn’t display what was happening correctly until it caught up.

The console would still function normally outside of the glitch, look at PC games, consoles are just dedicated gaming PC’s as this point, when a game crashes you can still CTRL ALT DEL and force close it, going to the guide is like going to the desktop.
A server issue that only hits 1 player in a game seems unlikely, the server only sends data to update player locations and weapon effects, your console processes that data to what you see, when the console stops processing the graphics the display freezes, when the server stops sending that data everyone else stops moving.

I’ve played plenty of Halo 5 to know when I’m having a server issue or a console issue, this is defo a server issue and is a very common one. It usually happens within the first two minuets of a match and likely results in being booted to the menu.
