This thread is so you can talk about those weird tactics or combos you found while experimenting.
Please go in full detail to why it works so that way your weird tactic may become a full on tool by the rest of us.
heres mine
Netting the flys
Fully upgraded brutes (25 of) and fully upgraded jackals (25 of)
This is a good anti any unit (maybe not grizzly)
See jackals are anti infantry and because there infantry they have a bonus against air.
the brutes because the stun shot are great against air and vehicle
Now heres where the tactic gets its name
If you find tanks and dont wish them to be microed Use the brutes jet pack to net the tanks into a ball. If chief is their just vortex
if not just sent jackals after one tank and the brutes after another.
if you did it properly You sould take out enough tanks to hurt the enemy’s army.
And if you do loose which you most likely will dont worry. jackals and brutes if you are at the state to use this tactic sould be able to be pumped out like mad.
The only problem is the canny glitch, otherwise not a bad idea. Maybe sub 10 jackals for a few hunters? You’ll get a few that’ll help against tanks.
> The only problem is the canny glitch, otherwise not a bad idea. Maybe sub 10 jackals for a few hunters? You’ll get a few that’ll help against tanks.
Or do what everyone still does… Banshees… banshees… and more banshees - followed by forge coming in with full pop power turret… THE ONLY STRAT anyone uses.

You don’t even understand the basics of the game, lol

he understands, he just chooses to ignore everyone else.

Lol
Its true
I can make lots of better strats but i just love this one

99% of the “Best players” rush your base with their leaders (90% of the time dbl covie) drop in sui grunts, brutes, or honor guards and follow it up with dbl banshee spam.
The Forge/Cutter comes in behind with PT at 7 minutes as he was un-touched.
Just ridiculous.
Creating a massive turtle using S-II Wolves, Cobras & Hawks on the two back base slots on crevice in 2v2. Then scoring 13000 points by the end.

but with triple forge, only one player will be behind. one untouched forge has gone tanks and the other has gauss, and the one who got attacked can just boom to any other counters or just do scorps and wolves.

Thats not exactly how it works… You go summit 5th and 7th and warp in banshee, and take one player out of the game then its 3v2, and you have no covy.

The 1% of high level players who dont follow the 99%'s basic strats are the best. Unethical strats often make it easy to trap you’re oppenent or catch them off guard. I can tell you how many times I have played xfactor, thought I had the lead due to tank #'s then all the sudden I’ll get cryo’d, stun’d, and jack’d. With high level micro its almost impossible to avoid the spartans.
Though my favorite unethical strat is RPG marines on Pirth in an Anders mirror. I go early gunner\gren, catch their hogs without gunner, then continue to attack with wharthogs until they start to produce gremlins. When Im outnumbered by grems i hit with 10-15 RPG from my expo attacking their main. I put 3-4 marines in the small entrance then seperates their expo from main, and confront their gremlins. My grend and rpg attack their mains pads and eventually destroy the main. Once i initially release my RPG I recycle my barracks for a airpad and start to lock air and hogs. The best part is, even if you dont destroy their main and lose all you’re units your eco will be way ahead of theirs. Plus, they are left with flamers which dont do much besides take up units in their army. So if my RPG doesnt fully work it leads them into a trap by having flamers and grems vs 2x air. No matter what, you win at that point because even if they do go air you will always have more units due to them having flamers and grems (which i usually leave alive due to the fact they do very little base damage and cant hit air).
Alot of people say RPG sucks, but when used right in a larger strat they necome effective. I’ve won soo many high level games with this strat, never loss in MM with it.
I dont like these strategies, many involve rushing which i absolutely refuse to do. I find that the best strategy is to use anders, make a mixed vehicle army, and when they finally manage to counter effectively you should have 2-3 airpads churning out hawks for a knock out blow. if they counter again switch back to vehicles and it should be over. A weird one is using honor guard elites, en masse they are surprisingly effective and can even take a mac blast without losing a single unit (shield upgrade and shield of the forerunner upgrade for recharge), good idea to have backup vampires just in case though. Elite strategy is tricky though due to how long it takes to make that many. Wraiths and vampires couple well together also. Fun one is using cyclops to destroy their reactors early into the game, use pelicans to airdrop 12 of them and you will destroy their reactors every time. As covies build a forward base near an enemy, shield it up quickly and lock it to build units until they discover it, make sure you have enough units ready inside before you unlock it to destroy theirs and they will be crippled. Fighting a scarab? use a large amount of brutes, jet pack and circle it and itll be dead in 30 seconds or so.
you keep saying unethical strats wildarms. Do you mean unconventional?
I just can’t seem to wrap my head around a strat being immoral.

un-IP ban me. I’ll serve my month and be back.
any strat with reactor first is kind of weird.
cutter and arby, the arby clicks cutter so he can double base and build an elephant to take hooks, win. never tried it but I’m sure it could work if you have a good defence arby.

a turret can hold off 4 banshees, plus the forge who is going for gauss is wrecking your base, you recall and he is out of there in one second and the rush is over. the forge getting rushed saves money for d-bombs, carpet bombs and heals and then does whatever.
> I dont like these strategies, many involve rushing which i absolutely refuse to do.
Then have funn being a low level player and never playing challenged. Its boring to just sit back and wait to clash. It takes 100x more stategy to be able to rush effectively and have an early, mid ,late game tactics.
Really if you dont like rushing, then this game isnt for you. Halo Wars was made for the rush.
