Weird ban number

What does a number like this mean when you get banned? 26.24

26 mins and 24 seconds is my guess

The thread linked in my signature is where all ban questions go. The first post in that thread tells you how to read the timer on the banhamer strikes message.

How can I tell how long I was banned for?
Ban duration will be shown on the red ban screen as the ban hammer strikes. First offences are generally low and last only a few minutes, but will increase in duration incrementally with each subsequent ban. The ban timer itself displays times as follows -
Days : Hours : Minutes : Seconds

Whoa Whoa, DAYS?! That is some wonky bs! Previous Halo’s never banned you for more than 15 minutes! This banhammer time increase needs to go. If quiiters are gonna quit, let 'em, just report 'em and let 'em get paired up with more quitters.

Many sweats would disagree with you on that. They feel constant quitters need to be permabanned it feels. Me though, I could care less.

See that’s the problem is “sweats” as you call them are JUST as if not MORE irritating than the quitters, sometimes people disconnect, sometimes people leave because they aren’t having fun, and that’s what the game is about, if “sweats” are gonna claim that it ruins the fun for other players, then my response is “git gud” and carry your own team for a change, don’t solely rely on others to carry the team.

It’s progressive discipline. You break the rules you get punished. You don’t learn your lesson you get punished a bit harder. And people have perma bans, not for quitting…but for other things.

Again, it’s a VIDEO GAME, there shouldn’t be discipline unless you cheat/hack. If you quit, you should get a slap on the wrist each time sit out for 15 minutes then go back in, quitting is not an offense that warrants more than a 15 minute ban, no matter what the perspective of competitive players are.

I’m a casual. People quitting, griefing, and afking ruins my games too. You should have some degree of respect for the people you play with.

343 should take the same approach Rockstar did. If a player is a team killer or constantly quits, they should be put into dunce mode where they can only find games with other players who have performed the same actions.

Or just remove team killing alltogether.
