“Weekly Warriors” challenge not tracking

The weekly warriors challenge (defeat 100 core infantry enemies in PvE modes) isn’t tracking for me in matchmade firefight games. Custom and campaign work fine, I was just wondering if this is by design?
Is it a bug I can fix on my end?

Are you playing Halo Reach or Halo 3: ODST Firefight. In Halo Reach Firefight, there exist a bug which causes kills to progress to none Firefight specific kill related challenges and this includes the challenge to defeat core infantry units.

If you wish to complete this challenge, I would recommend playing one of the campaigns, Halo 3: ODST Firefight or Halo 4 Spartan Ops.

Ah, I was playing Reach firefight.
I’ll give ODST a try and see if it works.

Yep, ODST worked fine.
I’ll keep that in mind in future.
