Why are So many of the weekly challenges such specific situation challenges? For example getting a kill from the shock chain on the lightning gun. This is so specific and requires a perfect situation to pull off. I’ve played over 100 games and gotten this medal once. Then the challenge ask me to do it 3 times. Destroy a wraith, when I’ve seen the wraith in maybe 6 or 7 games, and then again everything has to line up just right to complete this or just get insanely lucky, which i don’t think challenges should rely on.
I’m not against these types of challenges, but I think they should be more limited. About half of my challenges are these rare specific situation challenges. I don’t like having so many for a couple reasons, but mostly it’s because it funnels my gameplay into hunting for these specific situations, that I find myself neglecting objectives and teamwork. I spend most of my time playing hunting these situations for challenges.
My suggestion would be to have more progression type challenges, for example instead of 10 kills with a specific weapon, make it 100. Or start off with 10 kills then progresses through the challenge with different milestones for xp, like first challenge is 10, then the next part is 25, and so on. Something I can chip away at over the course of a week. Or make the challenges more general. Like instead of destroying a Wraith specifically, just make the challenge destroy a tank. That would increase your chances of getting into the right situation.
Maybe even have different tiered challenges with their own rewards. For example give progression challenges as the general weekly challenges with a big xp boost for completing them all, then maybe have the item unlock tied to a higher tier of weekly challenges like the specific situational ones.
I dunno just trying to throw some ideas out there. I’m really enjoying the game, but I feel like the challenge system could be improved upon to feel like your constantly working towards a goal, not spending hours playing and not finding that specific situation the entire time.
