Not complaining here just sheepishly trying to keep the dream alive that 343i will get their s*** together and offer playlist support for 2v2, MultiTeam (3v3v3v3) and BTB Objective.
Still having a hard time when my five-man team turns into a six-man team and we can no longer play CTF.
I could go on but I won’t. Down with endless Slayer gametypes. Up with fun for people with friends in their friendslists who use microphones and have the patience to think about more than mindless shooting. Fingers crossed for next week. What to do until then… read a book while half my clan plays COD… come on 343i… you can do it…
If they do go with objective BTB they need to make it a SEPARATE playlist.
Halo Reach had its BTB flat out ruined by 8 man inheritor teams who would go in, then force the vote to objective just to they could kill farm the entire match to pad their stats.
I love BTB, and I love BTB Slayer where people aren’t running around trying to pad their stats, they’re actually trying to win.

i actually like how slayer is working in BTB. if they could only get the power weapons to only spawn on map and get the PP’s to spawn on map as well BTB would be sweet
Thread title. You proofread that -Yoink-? Hm? Go ahead, read it again. I’ve got time.
. . .
Alright.
So here’s the deal. 343i has added two new playlists since release, released episodic multi-mission content for Spartan Ops, and is actively pursuing cheaters while also giving daily, weekly, and monthly challenges for the game. That all stacks on top of monitoring bugs and exploits, working on and exhaustively testing title updates and patches, and preparing new content for release as DLC.
Their very first game has been out three weeks; they’ve released puzzles for players to decode for free armor and experience, brought two new playlists into the fold with promises of more, and have done more press events in two months than Obama has in four years. They’ve done more in three weeks than many developers do in entire life cycles for their titles.
Well, it’s important to read “Implied meaning” but whatever. I had meant that putting that thread up was an attempt at keeping the issue near the top of the pile. Feel free to rant though. All good. Open forum, very important to democracy. I’ve heard all the promises but the arbitrary reduction of playlist standards has already caused a tidal wave of ship-jumpers back towards that crappy COD side of things. Whatever though. Maybe 343i will bring it back into order. Or maybe we’ll get another ten to fifteen Slayer variants. Time will tell, you are right on that.

Oh no you didn’t. Rotating playlists is nowhere near as dumb as a pointless XP cap
Remember guys, this game is only 3 weeks old. For a game as large as Halo, it will take a while before they can please everybody (or at least please the vocal minority that find problems in the game, opposed to the silent minority that is out on their Xbox 360s enjoying their game).
I’ll give Halo 4 up to February-March until it settles in. They did tell us “weekly MP playlist updates”, so I can probably say BTB Objective and Multi-Team by Christmas-New Years.
Yeah, kinda getting bored with most things being slayer-oriented, would like some more objectives. In fact, seeing the return of Invasion would be awesome.
2v2 is a must. I haven’t seen a map that would be good for it yet. Map selection is pretty terrible for anything competitive. Hopefully 343 will utilize forge a lot more than Bungie did.
