Does anyone else think it’s kind of pointless to wear armor without a helmet?
Take Commander Palmer for instance. Promethean Knights and Covenant are invading the ship and she doesn’t have on her helmet.
“Oh , good thing I have all this armor on! I can’t activate my shields, but at least my armor is ballistic proo-” headshot
At least the marines are smart enough to wear theirs.
You were able to fight helmetless in ODST whilst playing Firefight. So it doesn’t really matter.
If she has armour, she has shields. If she has shields, she is protected. When your shields are down, one headshot will kill you anyway, so why wear a helmet?

Kat knows all about that.

The difference is, ODSTs don’t have energy shields.
The MJOLNIR armor has shield projectors in the helmet. So without the helmet on, you have no energy shields protecting your head.
Nevermind the fact that without the helmet on one loses valuable HUD information like IFF and weapon locations.
Am I the only one not a fan of Palmer? I’m really trying not to be sexist here sorry if I sound like that but hear me out. Johnson has been gone for awhile. So our replacement for a badass battle-hardened Marine (whos probably tougher than the S-4s) is this lame chick who acts like a hardass all the time? Really?
Kat wore her helmet, but the shields were not on. Of all the Spartan deaths in Reach, hers was the most unbecoming… tsk tsk tsk.
