I think we the players should be able to carry three weapons like you can in most other games I mean you can carry three weapons and 4 grenades in the first Gears of War and your not even a super solder in that game so I would think a 7 foot tall super solder should easily be able to carry three weapons and 4 grenades

What does have GoW to do with Halo?
Those two fundamentally different Games.
You can’t compare them to each other, at least not from a gameplay perspective.
Two weapons are just the right amount.
Well, Halo doesn’t really work like other games. Both campaign and multiplayer are designed with Halo’s “Golden Triangle” in mind. Players can carry two guns, an assortment of grenades, and can use melee attacks. But if a player can carry sniper, shotgun, and rocket launcher all at once, it breaks that balance. Certain sections in campaign become too easy, and in multiplayer, players could just collect all the power weapons and leave the other team stuck with regular weapons, unable to fight back.
It’s the same reason why we can’t carry 4 frags and 4 plasma grenades anymore. Back then, the grenade spam made the game frustrating to play at times. 343 needs to balance the feeling of a power fantasy with game balance; they can’t just add in new things just because it “makes sense” for Spartans to be able to do them.
When I say 3 weapons I do not mean they can carry a sniper, shotgun, and rocket launcher all at once they be able to carry something like a shotgun, battle rifle. and a side arm like a pistol
And a three weapon are always better than two especially considering the fact that the amount of ammo you could carry for the weapons in Halo 1 has been drastically decreased
I don’t really see a need to carry more than 2 weapons in campaign. Maybe for legendary runs it would be helpful but other than that I don’t see any reason for them to add it.
There shouldn’t be any “sidearms” in Halo, period. It is just going to actively harm the sandbox by needlessly nerfing weapons or otherwise introducing mechanically dull alternatives.
I’d much rather see the players ammo capacity increased instead.

I think the better solution would be to fix the ammo problem. At least in campaign.
On certain levels such as Truth and Reconciliation and I believe Halo from Halo: CE your ammo capacity is increased.
As for multiplayer I think two weapons is fine. Just because other games do it doesn’t mean Halo should. Something I like to say is “Halo went from being a trend setter to following trends.” Doing this would fall into the latter rather than former.
Maybe for campaign or customs as those are/can be non competitive. I’d rather them stick with 2 for MP because that’s how the entire franchise has been designed with in mind. But who knows, things can change.

For me 2 Weapon is good
If you want more than 2 weapons, consider grabbing grenades or turrets. Otherwise, 2 is enough. Adding more would ruin Halo’s formula.
only 2 weapons should be carryable.
although custom game settings to carry one, two or three weapons ( third weapon would be equiped by holding “swap weapon”) would be cool.
like giving a undercover juggernaut a backup rocket launcher.
or just being able to carry one weapon, but have double the amount of grenades.

I hope they nerf the pistol, Halo 5’s pistol was too overpowered. Two weapons his how Halo should be, and REQ weapons should not be in Halo Infinite. But, Supressed SMG, Supressed Pistol, Plasma Rifle, and weapons like that which has been in prior halo games should be in Halo Infinite.
If they nerf the pistol like they did in Halo 2, and 3, I am going to be pissed
Maybe their could be a system (if we get to play as multiple characters) where we could have different weapon-holding abilities and attributes.

I think the pistol should be the 3rd weapon and you can never replace it, 2 grenades is also enough.
