Weapons were there but not in game?

Ok,so in the Halo 5 cutscenes,we see the Arbiter holding a plasma rifle from previous games and we see James Locke holding the Halo 3 style battle rifle. Will weapons like these and others such as the Gravity Hammer,brute shot,or spiker be added into Halo 5? (I am aware that there will be no brutes,but Halo 4 had the Gravity Hammer)

I’m pretty sure the cutscenes you describe are from the Halo 2 Anniversary campaign. Those were taken from Halo 2’s campaign, like the energy sword Arbiter pulls out in that last cutscene.

Those were reused assets from Halo 2 Anniversary. They will not be in the final game.

Yeah, I personally like it better over the Storm Rifle. But I do hope that brute weapons return. The Brute Shot was one of my absolute favorite weapons. Also the Chopper was an original but unique vehicle to play around with

Iconic is used WAY too much. I cannot walk up to random strangers and be like. “What is this weapon?” and they be like “Oh! That, that’s a halo plasma rifle!” NO… it wont happen. Iconic is like Mario, you can do that, walk up to strangers and they know what it is. You could have a silver and green ‘x’ and people would be like. Oh thats xbox. That is what iconic is. Master Chief tho, his armor, is iconic. I could walk up to randomers and show em chiefs armor and they be like “oh, isnt that halo?”

TLDR; Use iconic right.

OT- I cant see any brute weapon being in halo 5, sorry, it doesnt seem aesthetically like it would fit. Even the grav hammer. And there is a halo 3 style BR. But that is a coincidence. The cinematic was rendered with H2 assets like stated above

Dude,calm down. Lol. Plasma Rifle was in every game and was only absent in H4. By iconic,I mean the weapon helped shape the Halo universe and will always stand as such to its predecessor,the Storm Rifle. It would be cool to see 343 update the game and add the Plasma Rifle as a “skin” for the storm rifle in the future

I don’t get why you’re wanting a ‘classic’ weapon. It was replaced by the storm rifle… it won’t come back.
