Would you guys like it if the maps of Warzone somewhat functioned like BTB, but the spawns aren’t as common. Such as, maybe every armory a DMR will spawn every 2 minutes, in every base a Warthog will spawn every 5 minutes. And let’s say right before or somewhat after a boss spawns, a REQ will spawn in the map also. The REQ level and rarity would be based on the “rank” of the boss(es). Would you like this? Do you think it is useless? Do you think it will push more on map domination? What would you put in what maps and where?
I mean, it’s a cool idea but I think you’d need to tweak it more to make it effective, like normal variants have standard spawns and re-spawn times, UNSC loadout stuff spawns in bases, everything else spawns elsewhere.
Loadout REQ weapons spawn for players after a time limit and then have normal re-spawn times, when a boss spawns T2 REQ weapons spawn, a few in bases and the rest everywhere else.
Two T3 REQ items spawn in home bases when the boss spawns, what it is is matched with the faction you’re against. A covenant boss spawns so both teams get covenant T3 REQ each, the second T3 that spawns for players is a UNSC weapon. So both teams ger two T3 REQs.
Do you remember in Reach during Invasion Slayers that there were hills to capture and then weapons or vehicles of the relative faction that caught it spawns. So like, The SPartanscapture the hill, 10 seconds later the weapons spawn butanyone can grab them so even if the spartans captured it, if they’re all killed by the time the equipment spawned the elites would claim them. Something similar should be in this gametype, give players an extra objective during the match.
Imagine on Escape from Arc the litle area underneath the arch in front of the Garage. A hill spawns there with a title above it “Close quarters”, which ever team captures it gains close quarter weapons in or near their bases relative to the number of players that were in the hill zone at the point of capture. Say 6 players were in it when it was captured, 6 Close Quarter weapons spawn in the teams base nearest to the hill.
With vehicles it’ll be different. It’ll state what the vehicle is but not the variant, do you risk your bases capture for a chance at an ONI Hog or 2? The way this one works is it’ll try to fill as much space as possible within a vehicle. So if there are three players taking a warthog spawn, only one hog will spawn, if there’s four 2 will spawn. The stronger the vehicle the less this applies like tanks which instead gain a 5-10 second hijack immunity onspawn

If Warzone worked like this, it is no longer Warzone, but BTB on bigger maps and more players. Preset weapons and vehicles take away the player’s choice on how he or she wants to play, which is the whole idea of Warzone in the first place. Warzone was designed to be different from BTB, with the lack of preset weapons and vehicles, but instead it allows each player to choose which weapons and vehicles he or she desires to use. With all these factors, Warzone should NOT be treated like another version of BTB, but as a whole different experience.
