this topic is just several weapons I think halo infinite “needs” to fill out its weapon roster. A side suggestion is some of them should have versions added to campaign.
UNSC weapons
M90 shotgun

reason: we need a pump action single loader, this would be a close range power weapon similar to the sword and hammer, the difference is it would have mid range “poke” able to 3 shot at mid range, but at close range (upto 3 spartans away) it will one shot if all pellets hit.
Reason for it being power weapon: we have good normal class shotguns, now we need power class ones.
M319 grenade launcer

reason: because having an alt to the hydra and skewer would be fun. That and I miss the EMP utility of it. for gameplay it would be a grenade launcher that has an alt mode instead of a scope. in alt mode it fires remote detonated rounds, that have an EMP effect, in base mode it fires impact rounds.
m247 GPMG

Note: this would be the gun not the tripod, this weapon would be a power weapon version of the Ma5 assault rifle 150 round mag, one reload. high rate of fire with a good spread. unlike the m247H we have in game this would be found only in its none deployed state.
Reason: I want more heavy MGs, no actual gameplay reason here just like the gun.
m20 SMG

Reason: because it is shown in infinite marketing material yet we don’t have it.
Covenant weapons
type-53 plasma caster

reason: because it is one of the few weapons from halo 5 that feels interesting. in infinite it would be a plasma weapon that has two modes, single fire which is the current image and burst fire which opens the vents like a crossbow.
gameplay: would work like a true grenade launcher, firing weaker plasma grenades at targets that are a 2 shot kill one to take out the shield and most health the second could just kill with impact.
in secondary mode it fires a 3 shot burst of these grenades but forces a cool down after firing, while in primary you can fire 5 shots before cooling is required though at a slower rate.
unknown fuel rod gun

reason: I just like the battery charge version of the fuel rod gun from halo CE, something about it.
gameplay: direct fire weapon, one shot kill on direct hit 2 shot with splash would be a power weapon with 10 shots total before it is out of charge. IF the user is killed with it before charge reaches less then 30% the weapon will act as a grenade exploding a few seconds after it is dropped. (this explosion uses 30% of its ammo)
campaign: in campaign grunts can be found using it.
type 25 plasma rifle

Reason: we all want this back, 343 give us it back. And you can have the brute version as well.
gameplay: return its “stun” feature from CE, in this case it would slow down those hit with it by a small amount making it harder for players to aim and throwing off jumps and movement. this makes the target an easier target but at a cost of damage.
has two versions: the standard swords version which is white and has a moderate stun effect, and a banished version which removes the lower emiter and does more damage at the cost of fire rate and its stun is weaker (lower emiter replaced with blade.)
