Listen to them again while wearing ear buds . . . the first time I heard someone tell me that I laughed at them, but after listening to the BR with ear buds on I loved the new sound. Trust me, it works.

The sniper and shotgun sound like fart to me. The assault rifle is the best sounding.
You could mute the sound and make your own gun noises when you shoot or get shot at. Like pew pew kaboom bzzt bzzt bzzt beep, bop, bip bip, bop, beeep pats

how the hell do the guns sound like they shoot lazers but visually use projectiles propelled by explosions?, it makes no sense and is very distracting.

Have you shot a firearm? This is not what a firearm sounds like in real life. Yes, they recorded real weapons being fired, but they didn’t simply copy and paste the sounds into the game, they edited the -Yoink- out of them.
So no, this is not what “real guns” sound like. But I do like their sound regardless. It’s what I would imagine a Spartan would hear inside of an armored helmet.
