Weapons return or redesigned?

When Halo 5 comes out,do you think that we will see some of the old weapons return like the plasma rifle, brute plasma rifle,or the brute spiker? What are your thoughts?

The plasma rifle was in the Halo 2 Anniversary prologue. If Locke works with the Arbiter, Plasma Rifles will return. As for Brute weapons, there is no place for them in Halo 5. They have enough story to worry about without finding a way to add in Brutes

Story has nothing to do with adding Brute weapons into the game.

343 created the biggest loop hole by making MM part of the story with Infinity. We are in a holographic training room yet we can’t recreate the weapons used in battles that happened within the decade? It was stated in Glasslands that the Elites and Brutes were together on the same planet, so the Brutes are already written in. Not to mention the Black Market Covie weapons that keep coming up in these stories.

I would love to see the Brute Shot, Mauler and Spiker return. If only for customs and MM.

I would love to see them too. Want to see the sentinel beam and even the needler rifle, maybe the plasma repeater

I don’t mind them returning, but in regards to the plasma rifles in H2A I think the were just model reuse like Locke using a BR-55. Technically the Plasma Rifle has been replaced by the Storm Rifle.

And I don’t think Arby would equip his army with out of date weaponry.

Well, it does. Why add them in if they’re not going to be used in the campaign? It’s one of the reasons I severely dislike the Hammer’s existence in Halo 4; you see it in one mission and in that mission, it has no right to be there. Sangheili won’t use them because, to them, ballistics- grenades, rockets, bullet, spikes, shrapnel- are primitive weapons. Would you choose a musket when, trophy value aside, you can just as easily get an M4 Carbine? No,you probably wouldn’t. Well that is bullets (or in this case spikes) vs. plasma; the equivalent of bows vs powder and powder vs bullets and bullets vs linear accelerators. And the Hesduros Covenant has more than enough supplies to keep production of plasma weapons going, it would seem. After all, a rough calculation estimates Jul’s capacity for infantry to be in the hundreds of thousands on the low end of the scale.

In addition, as of 2558, the Brutes and Elites are in all-out war (As seen in The Return), and those on Sanghelios were only there as slaves- who eventually rebelled, I might add.

Brutes and Elites are not at war, read the Escalation comics. Plasma rifle is not out of date, storm rifle is older(read its description)
