Hi, huge Halo fan, played every halo game (yes even the bad ones),and i must say that i really hate the new patch. The biggest issue is the buff they gave to the weapons,(maybe they just weaked the shields, the point is the same),lately it does not feels like halo at all but more like call of duty.Hey, it may be just me but i know that i am not the only one.
I don’t think weapons got stronger, this update. That would be like changing the whole game and 343 is pretty proud of their balance and sandbox. (And rightfully so, I think.)
I haven’t played today, so I don’t know if you’re talking about a brand new patch that I haven’t downloaded, but they didn’t change anything other than tweaking the Spartan Laser’s damage properties.
The scattershot and spartan laser got buffed, that is all. I remember last update everone saying “does the aim feel off for anyone else?” Long story short no the weapons werent all buffed and aim didnt change either.

I think you just stumbled into the SWAT playlist. The weapons didn’t change.

They called it DLC closer to launch, IIRC.
But they went with calling it a content update instead due to that being the more correct terminology.
Not that the difference between the two is any different to the Halo community.
