Weapons are balanced then?

I’ve been seeing a lot of threads lately about precision/automatic weapon balancing. One side, says that precision weapons should be nerfed, and the other side, saying that automatics should be nerfed. So, here’s what I find funny about all this:

  • Both sides exists at all, (already removing the suspicion that one negatively affects the game and the other doesn’t.)- Both sides are saying the other should be nerfed.- We aren’t getting a bunch of threads representing one side. They are both equally vocal.- Neither side is part of the same play style (removing the suspicion that current weapon balancing is ruining certain play styles.)Guys, could it be that the TTK itself, is too low? Could it be that the two beta maps themselves don’t have long sight lines, giving automatics a fundamental advantage? I’ve already made the assumption that veteran players are the ones asking for the nerf to automatics, (I mean; this whole ‘BR dominance’ thing started in Halo 2…) and the ones praising automatics for being “relevant again” certainly aren’t saying that because they’re new to the series, either…

So in that case, it means the exact opposite of what we think…

The weapons are balanced!

lol, why on earth would both sides be begging to see the other get nerfed?

Bump time already?

Why I think the weapons are balanced.

When I’m walking in to the inside sniper on Empire I switch to the SMG, because it dominates in close range.

When I’m going to attack out door sniper I switch to the br, because the sight lines are on the shorter side of medium, where the BR is meant to dominate.

If I’m going to be firing from indoor sniper to out door sniper, or vice versa, I switch to the DMR, because the sight lines are on the longer side of mid range, where it should out perform other guns.

Obviously I’ll use the sniper when I can.

The fact that I’m not ALWAYS running around with the BR, regardless of where I am and the range I’m trying to fight, tells me there is a lot less of a one gun game going on.
