Weapons and vehicles You think will fit halo infinites sand box

A simple topic what weapons do you think will fit into Infinites sandbox and how?

Going to start with a power weapon class idea, suppression weapons or automatic power weapons.

Storm rifle
(halopedia storm rifles)
info: A covenant plasma LMG that is called an assault rifle by the UNSC.

role: automatic power weapon the storm rifle will kill a spartan in 7 shots and has a minigun like fire rate firing faster the long it is active from 100 RPM to 600 RPM meaning pre firing it is valuable. the main advantage of the storm rifle is the fact it throws out a flood of plasma towards the target and takes a while to over heat, that said once it has over heated it is going to take a long time to vent.

M247L
(halopedia m247)
info: a light version of the m247H designed to be shoulder fired by a spartan. has a 100 round belt that is easily reloaded.

role: The M247L is 9 shots to kill but that isn’t its main role, the weapon is a automatic power weapon designed for medium ranges, its main job is pulling precision weapons out of scope at range. This is a team work weapon, designed to shock the enemy and allow your allies to easily mop things up.

note: I know the SMG is likely going to take this things spot for close range, so this is the long range version.

Vehicle suggestion: Jackrabbit
(halopedia jackrabbit)

info: the jack rabbit would be a scout class vehicle like the ghost or gun goose, unlike both it has a unique defensive design making it more viable for holding a point then just scouting in.

By default the Jack rabbit is in its motorcycle set up in this mode it has a forward firing m460 grenade launcher this is a rapid attack vehicle which is good against groups. The unique part of the jack rabbit it its ability to swap between mobility and defense mode (weapon swap key).

In mobility mode it works like above, but in defense mode it is unique its forward wheels parting and raising the cab turning it into a slow moving turret with a fully automatic grenade launcher, in defense mode the power is swapped from the engine to a shield generator granting it a light shield that allows it to take some punishment.

The key to using the jack rabbit is knowing when to swap it to speed and when to swap it to defense. In both modes it has a 40mm grenade launcher but the launcher works differently. In fast mode it uses fragmentation rounds which have a larger blast radius but lower kill radius, in defense mode it uses HEI rounds. both have their hold down fire like in reach.

The Mantis.

I always loved that it was a mainly Spartan only vehicle, and that it acted as an anti-air and anti-personal vehicle

God I would love to have the Mantis back, it feels a rather nice niche in the game play.

A few more vehicles I think would fit infinite.

Grizzly battle tank
(halopedia grizzly)

Role: a heavy tank, designed for objective game modes this is not like the standard scorpion which only has one driver, and one gunner, the grizzle is a 3 man tank, one driver a main gunner seperate from the driver (controls the main cannon and MGs) and an AA gunner (open on the top controls some missile pods.)

The grizzly would be a high power vehicle built around objective modes where it is a last resort tool for the attackers. It is also a counter tank vehicle which only has one weakness, it requires 3 spartans to use, as the driver isn’t opperating the main cannon.

Falcon
(we all know this one.)

Info: an aircraft version of the hog, meant for more air focused maps, the falcon comes in 3 versions, transport, grenadier, and gunner. unlike the falcons of the days of reach, the modern ones have basic shielding allowing them to survive a bit more damage. The only problem is the shields only regen while it is on the ground.

the Transport version has a driver and 3 passengers 2 of which can fire their weapons while the third just sits there, this version has the strongest shields.

The grenadier version has only a driver and 2 gunners, each gunner uses a m460 grenade launcher. This one has the weakest shields.

The gunner variant is armed with a chin mounted .50 cal and two m247H machine guns.

SEEKER drone
(halopediea seeker drone)

INfo: an equipment slot item when activated it deploys a drone which the player controls manually, said drone is equipped with a high explosive anti vehicle charge. Think of it as a flying RC-XD form COD, but a bit more halo in theme.

Note if it is hit by a plasma pistol it will be disabled allowing anyone to pick it up.

Would definitely be cool to see the mantis back. it’ll most likely get a buff in speed if it returns. I wanna see that.

Two vehicles I’d want to come back is the Mantis and the Spectre/Prowler. The covenant have been missing a proper co-op vehicle really since Halo 3 if you don’t count the Wraith turret (Technically there is the Revanent in Reach but that’s just a passenger).

think the Mantis is one thing we all want back, something about being in a light mech is fun. And I say light mech as I am A Battletech nerd.

personally with the new mechanics I think a mantis would be a good combat vehicle as a fast moving ground attack vehicle, low health but high damage output.

Though I would remove its shields and replace them with heavy armor.
