So what you think?

Generally speaking, I don’t see any reason why any UNSC weapon or vehicle should NOT be included in the next game, including the stuff from Halo Wars. Nothing wrong with any of them.

Given the present state of things with what’s left of the Covenant, no real reason to not have their stuff make a comeback.

The Forerunner weapons are a different matter, as the UNSC now has access to the exact same technical resource the Forerunner had. We’re less likely to see things return and more likely to see new stuff.

I want fewer, more unique weapons, not reskins that only offer different values in damage and nothing more.

As for vehicles, I want them to be more unique as well. Personally, I don’t think the Mantis made up for the lack of vehicle innovation in Halo 4, and I think that a wider array, from size to power and even type, of vehicles needs to be introduced in Halo on Xbox One.

I do hope to see the Locust, Vulture, and possibly even the Scarab in multiplayer. I even think that 343i should introduce some Forerunner/Promethean vehicles into the game.

Covenant: Carbine (made equivalent to UNSC utility weapon for the sake of Invasion), Plasma/Storm Rifle, Plasma Pistol, Gravity Hammer, Energy Sword, Conc/Brute Shot, Fuel Rod, Beam Rifle (fixed), Plasma Grenades.

Forerunner: the cut Burst Pistol should return, with pre-patch Boltshot (map pickup, obviously), Light Rifle (made equivalent to UNSC utility weapon for the sake of Invasion), Suppressor (made equiv. to AR), reworked grenades and some seriously toned-down power weapons.

Equipment should also return, but nothing from Halo 3. They could do an awful lot better with those. Less area effect, more linear-direction effect.

Consolidation is key. But you’ve still left a few unnecessary reskins. All the current Forerunner weapons minus the BS need to be cut for lack of uniqueness. The Carbine is fine as-is, and as for Forerunner weapons, (if we see any), we need weapons like the Bishop Beam.

Add the railgun, the grenade launcher/sticky detonator, and maybe the SAW.

I agree with you post, but I think one thing that made Halo 3’s equipment great was the potential support value it added. Think about it: Buuble Shield, Regeneration Field, Gravity Lift, and Energy Drain all supplied a supportive role for, not just the individual player like most standard Armor Abilities do, but multiple players and working teams.

I would definitely like to see a number of Halo 3’s equipment appear in Halo on Xbox One, as well as Armor Abilities (simply both being pick-ups in the same category). I just don’t think that either should be essential to core gameplay, as well as affect map design.

I don’t want less weapons. I want more weapons that all behave differently. Having the Storm Rifle as-is, is no different than using the Assault Rifle painted purple. That’s what we call redundancy.

Why do people want so much consolidation? Sandbox be -Yoink!- GIVE ME MY GUNS PLS?!?!??!

Anyways I don’t care if guns are just reskins I love variety in look and damage. That’s why the SMG should return to the game. Plasma Rifle to. I’d also like to see the new stuff we have used more. We have yet to see the Lich or Harvester in large scale positions. We haven’t even seen a mobile Harvester.
