What would you all think if they brought back the Needler Rifle from Halo Reach especially if they added a 3 burst mode
It’s a cool gun, and fun to use in Reach… I’d be worried about watering down the sandbox with yet another mid-range rifle, but the weapon mechanics are kinda special with the super combine, so it could avoid that problem.
I would like to see the Needle rifle return and replace the normal carbine, but I don’t think it should have a three round burst mode.
I believe the Needle Rifle is good as it is. It is more of a covenant style weapon than the carbine. That being said sure bring the DMR and BR Carbine, Needle Rifle, Light Rifle and M6D and so on. I would rather have similar weapons that still function differently than weapon attachments that further blur the lines between what role a weapon has.
Let’s definitely see the Flamethrower and Railgun. The Spartan Laser would also so be a great idea to see.
If it makes a return, I would keep it as it was, it’s different enough from other precision weapons with the needle effect and it wouldn’t need that much of new testing and rebalancing.
Though likely every weapon from the franchise wont return so I would rather have many other weapons before needle rifle, I just dont miss it that much.
