It should be a single shot kill from close range, is what I meant.
Not really, it is an auto shotgun, so a 2 shot kill point blank is ok. As it is if you use it like the mangler it is a really good weapon.
Anyone else want the focus rifle back?
Just realized how much I liked it, but not as a sniper more as an AR class weapon as a T2 assault rifle.
It’s just absolute madness they didn’t bring the brute shot or Mauler for this game.
Halo Reach Grenade launcher was my favorite gun the the whole series.
Bring back the Spartan laser, Old Shotgun. and focus rifle.
I want the Plasma Rifle.
The current Sentinel Beam essentially works like the Focus Rifle anyway, just with limited range. Infinite’s Sentinel Beam is by far the one with the smallest reticule, which is comparable to Reach hip fire Focus Rifle.
I think the Binary Rifle from 5 is a better “beam sniper” than Focus Rifle in every way tho.
Ideas
Light Rifle - I want old faithful back. Alt firing version from Halo 4 specifically. I doubt they all just up and vanished.
DMR - Reach
Insurrectionist Rifle - Little out there but I think they have name dropped some sort of Separatist Government in the canon fodder; perhaps they have their own weapon like the UIR from Gears. Maybe like a sci fi bolt action rifle almost?

As an aside, I don’t think they should overly concerned themselves with Weapon overlap. There is some benefit to having lots of weapons, especially for campaign and PVE. Currently Weapon sandbox is a bit thin.
