Am I the only one who would like to be able to lock power weapons and vehicles from your teammates so they can’t use them in the case that you die off spawn? There’s nothing more frustrating than calling in a sniper rifle only to die off spawn and have a teammate run over and pick it up. I called that gun in for me to use, not you. Same with vehicles. If I call in a Gauss hog and planted it somewhere good, I don’t want you driving it around(especially when the driver in question thinks a standard gauss hog can take on a tank head on). Obviously this would only apply to teammates and enemies would be able to use your stuff as they please if they manage to kill you.
Good idea, but life isn’t fair. You either use it or lose it. I like your idea, but I doubt that 343 would let you just wait around to let you pick up your weapon later.
I would rather have a weapon used by my team mates than by the enemy. So i don’t agree.
Stop spawning in a way that you just die immediately.
I take it you’re choosing your weapon and then pressing spawn? Wrong.
Spawn, go to REQ station, get your weapon. If you do this while 5 people are attacking your base, then it’s completely your fault.

Spawns in this game don’t always work so well. I’ve tried spawning at my core on Apex 7 and got put a stones throw from the Spire instead. Spawning where you should be safe doesn’t work half the time. And if spawn in a rocket launcher you can get oblivious teammates that walk in front of your shot which ends up killing you. Said teammate then goes “Oh a rocket launcher. Mine.” You’re then down a rocket launcher even if you take your necessary precautions. Same goes for teammates who spartan charge you to try and get you killed. Being cautious isn’t a guarantee.

The weapon would eventually respawn and enemies could pick it up if they wanted so it’s not like the weapon would be there forever.
Not too long ago, I was playing on Noctus and saw a guy die with one of the ultra rare/legendary Binary Rifles (the one with 4 shots). I ran over and killed the guy he was fighting then picked it up. He spawned and came up to me so I gave it back. He died AGAIN within the next 30 seconds, this time much farther away from the base. So I took it again. He came back, but I wasn’t going to give it to him. He died TWICE with it, and had I not picked it up the second time it would have despawned. He tried to troll me so I just sat that and waited, eventually he died again, then I ran off to somewhere else and sniped.
Moral of the story; If you are a derp and lose your weapon, it’s fair game. He’s lucky I gave it back the first time.
Yes it’s much better for them to despawn then help your team.

To start, I commend you for giving back the binary rifle to the person who died with it. However, I wasn’t talking about being a moron with your power weapon, I was talking about dying off spawn with one and getting trolled by your teammates who want the weapon(spartan charging you). It’s infuriating to lose a power weapon that way, especially if it was a higher level req.
I Know what you mean, so many times you maybe get unlucky, die with Req before you even use it, or get in a hog and it meets a tank instantly because someone decides to hop in the driver seat.
I don’t think locking Reqs is the answer though, as much as I hate to see other people with them, it does help the team if picked up by a teammate instead of despawning. Not sure what could be really be done about it that would work, but I do share your annoyance
Is this Necro? Don’t care. Vehicle lock all the way. Fed up of spawning a certain type of hog to get commendation kills (thanks 343 for not letting me buy specific weapons to work on commendations RNG for the win, ALL the Sarcasm) and some fool jumping in, thinking he is Lewis Hamilton and getting us wasted, wasting MY REQ, murdering me and leaving me unable to work on my commendation. Hate, hate, HATE it. If I wanted someone to drive for me I would invite a friend, I don’t know you, why you getting in my car? -Yoinks!-.
I’ve got an idea for the heavy vehicle boarding to be disabled. They would have to put a vehicle from halo wars in. the cobra it would be a lvl 5 req and it’s rare. it can lock down for more firepower and range it’s good for destroying vehicles.so if there’s a scorpion or wraith call in the cobra and they will suffer. Also the ONI version of this could fire 2 shots at once and have upgraded armor and increased protection while in lock down, idk about the weapon one
