Hello guys just wanted to share a cool tidbit I noticed while watching some Halo 5 bids. I’ll start by saying that I’ll be keeping this post spoiler free, except for a few minor gameplay details which I’ll include via spoiler tags.
So as most of your know 343 has allowed members of the online press to show off 4 separate campaign missions and leading the way on this front is, unsurprisingly, Greenskull. He has put out excellent quality videos of each mission, showing off tons of hidden secrets and pickups.
In his ‘Mission 1’ video, he finds something very cool. It is a special weapon variant similar to what we’ve been getting looks at in the Warzome gameplay vids that dropped a few weeks ago. Click the spoiler tag below for a brief description of the weapon.
It is a custom Promethean Scattershot called “Loathsome Thing”. It has different coloration and features a spacious 10 round magazine with an increased rate of fire. Greenskull uses this gun with what can only be called gleeful delight.To me this is awesome. We’ve seen from numerous game trailers that the AI members of Blue Team and Fireteam Osiris do indeed carry their own Legendary weapon variants, but now we can see that weapon variants can be found throughout the campaign for us to pick up and use. The possibilities are really exciting. Imagine shooting Banshee’s out of the sky with the classic SPNKR rocket launcher, or wielding the chrome-plated M6D as Master Chief for old times sake. Now that sound suppressors are confirmed in Warzone, maybe we could actually see a true stealth sequence in the campaign courtesy of a nearby silenced BR!
The way I see it I’m guessing there is one unique weapon variant per mission. Do you guys like the idea of using weapons from the Warzone experience in the campaign? What variants would you like to see?
