Basically what the title says. This has probably been said ALOT already, but trying to make Duck Hunt maps, Halo Ring maps and basically anything that requires long range infecting of players is impossible, and tbh, they were the most fun infection gametypes in Halo 3 and Reach. Please 343, PUT OUT AN UPDATE THAT WILL ALLOW THIS!
If the problem is the whole Flood arm/appendage thing, just make it so that if the creator sets it so that the Flood spawn with weapons, they are forced to just use a normal skin, surely it can’t be that difficult to do?
Hopefully somebody will see this…Or at least raise awareness of the issue.
I suggest using a regular free for all slayer gametype and set it so players only have one life. You know, have one person spawn at the top and shoot players and have those that don’t spawn there at the bottom. Only problems is that there is a chance no one will spawn at the top at all or that the game wont end when the player at the top is dead. People will also resort to team killing to get points.

Might work for some games but most of the games work best with having people joining the infected team as the game goes on. Also it’s so much easier to have the game pick who starts off as “Infected” as opposed to telling everyone to get on one team and leave another person on the other team. It’s just an unnecessary hassle.
