I came back to Halo 4 recently because summer came around so I have time to play. People told me the weapons were updated so I went into Custom Games after downloading the patch, but nothing is changed? The BR is still 5 shot, for example, at point blank range in the head.
You have to play MM first then it applies to customs
The update isn’t really an update.
They simply modified every gametype in matchmaking to have the new changes.
You have to download the gametypes.

Thats because you’re playing matchmaking, where the gametype is assigned for you.
The gametype is in MM, download the gametypes from recent play’s an you’ll be able to play it in Customs.
As been stated the weapon tuning is server side which means gametypes have been modified but the on disc versions of the game have not.
Play some MM, and then download those game types to have the tuning available in custom games
OP, send these files to your Xbox. They are all of the current updated gametypes from Halo 4 that feature weapon tuning.
With how Halo 4 works, the weapons were simply modified on a per-gametype basis using the Megalo scripting engine. The on-disk variants are unchanged because of this. It allows 343 to make any changes necessary without having to release a new patch.
It’s only MM that has the update, unless you download the specific gametypes and maps, the on disc maps/settings will not have changed.
Right. The latest Title Update allowed them to change weapons and other stuff per gametype.
It’s a “band aid” patch, just like the last one for Reach where the new settings only take affect in a “TU” game.
