Weapon tweaks

I feel that the new weapon tweaks are limiting those who took time to become good with the dmr by making other weapons better, they should really think of changing that.

DMR? Good with it? HAHAHAHA my dog can do good with that weapon

if you want to get “good” with the dmr try using the BR NOW for a couple of days & then go back to the dmr you will have improved your aiming!

The BR is so much more fun to use than a dmr & the sound it makes is just awesome!

That is purely subjective. I personally think the BR is the worst gun ever put into a halo game, and the sound that it makes is atrocious. I dont however make blanket statements about it tho.

ppfftt Because the DMR takes SO much skill to use right? I like it for BTB and larger maps but otherwise I’d rather use the BR.

Keep your distance from the other guns, and it will be as if nothing happened.

They are just making it so that if you move too close, you will be at a disadvantage. Currently, since the guns are all similar in terms of kill times, the medium range guns look less appealing since they have extra stuff to work against compared to the DMR, slowing them down further.

You will have to learn at least 2 skills in June: keep your distance, and grab a closer range weapon if you plan on moving around or to defend yourself from an incoming attacker.

The tweaks are making the other rifles better than it in different situations EACH instead of the DMR dominating pretty much all.

I dislike the idea of having all weapons overbalanced replicas of one another… The DMR is overpowered and something should be done about it, but we need the weapons to fall into different rolls.

That is exactly what is being done.

DMR will become the jack-of-all-trades, effective at all ranges, dominant at none.
Long=Medium=Close

LightRifle becomes the favored sniping starter, extremely effective at long range but bad at close. Long>Medium>Close

BR and Carbine reclaim their rightful place of Mid range mastery. Medium>Close>Long

AR/Suppressor/SR will destroy at varying degrees of close range, but are useless anywhere else. Close>Medium>Long

Are you implying that the current offering has a more niche-centric precision sandbox than the suggested balancing?
