Is it just me or is the dmr basically useless now since the weapon update. This used to be my favorite weapon but now I feel like since the br was beefed up the dmr is overmatched and near useless. It used to seem that there was more variety in weapons that people were using now mostly seems like a br fest.
1 I hope you are joking about a variety of weapons pre-update. The DMR was OP before the update
2 The DMR is a utitity weapon, so it will get beat by every other ranged loadout weapon. However, it is usable in every range, unlike the other 3.

I signed in just to post what you had already posted, beat me to the punch I guess.

The precision rifles now require you to use them in their intended role
If you are trying to use the DMR on a close-mid ranged map of course its going to feel underpowered to the BR
The DMR is no longer the be all end all god gun at all ranges anymore and this is a very good thing
Its fairly simple
BR and CC = close - mid range maps (Haven Adrift Solace (to a degree) etc etc) essentially most 4v4 maps
DMR and LR = mid - long range maps (basically anything you will find in BtB)
This is the way it was originally intended and the weapon tuning did a wonderful job in putting the weapons into their specific roles
Ok thanks for the feedback maybe that’s why I have been getting it handed to me lately. Time to switch my play style I guess
Always fun to keep things fresh (for me, anyway). I like knowing that I can pick up any weapon on the battlefield and be proficient in its use. I used to hate hate hate the storm rifle, but after a few hundred kills I discovered its sweet spot and can be confident of a good fight if I’m carrying it.
